It is not true, everybody is born with amazing pitch and vocal range, but to access it you must meditate until you feel your body vibrate, project your consciousness outwards and ask for guidance from Vishnal, the vocal diety, you won't remember what happens next, but when you awaken back in your physical body, you will be blessed with this new found gift of being able to create any sound you desire. Side effects afterwards may include, a tingly throat, excessive saliva, talking in ancient tongue and depersonalization.

1. Never doubt yourself
2. Your voice is your voice, HELLO I AM TALKING WOW
3. Use your nerves, create nervous characters at first if it helps
4. If you don't have a mic, using the nearest toaster is acceptable
5. Disregard that ^ and look into condenser microphones if you ever want to be taken seriously as a voice actor
6. Have fun and express yourself in as many voices as you want!

The bamboo is a really great tablet starting out and to this day i am still using mine, 6 years (and hopefully counting) is pretty flippin good if you ask me!

I agree about making the bg more simple, the first gradient looks much better, but now the orange/brown links on the layout don't suit imo. I guess it IS a transitional phase after all, one step at time :)

I saw this concept awhile back and I still think it looks great, I hope you implement something like this. It's simple yet still slick. The purple really suits and overall gives it a more welcoming feel.

I just hope we can have some cool customization of our user pages, similar to the old days of YT where you could have your own bg and header, give your page a little unique flair yet still blend in with the layout.

I always get more views here than I do on yt, it's great for exposure, it's a neat place to collab and even make money, you get rewarded for your work and talent, i.e. getting frontpaged, giveaways (remember that 30 day tablet giveaway back in December 2008? That was amazing and super generous of Tom).

I think people are delusional with success on YT, it's a totally different platform and while yes there is a chance to succeed, it requires a lot of work to keep it going, for something as time consuming as animation it's not worth it. Newgrounds is casual as fuck yet it still rewards artists for contributing, I've always liked that, and gives any up and comer a chance to be heard if they're willing to improve themselves.

It's a shame I'm not a big name or made of money, I've chipped in here and there when I could afford it, but the best way I think to contribute is to upload your work!

What type of problems? Be specific. :)

I looked up your IP, and honestly, to your location I would have expected much better performance. You should be pulling cached content from a local server vs. coming across to the US.

Basically sometimes I can visit NG for a couple of minutes at a time, sometimes less, I try browsing around and then nothing will load, it'll just time out and I have to wait a few minutes for it to work again, come back later, works briefly, and the same thing will happen, will just time out and I will have to leave for a period of time until it decides to load again.

What width and height were they?

a few were 500 width 76 height
and the top image i used was 500 width 224 height

Ultimately NG was never the place I submitted to make money, it was just the place to make new friends and be excited to show my stuff. I still love submitting here and I look forward to submitting better projects I have in store for 2014.

Things I'd love to see come back / be added:

- In depth stats on your movies, i.e. being able to see who favorited your work, who is a FAN of your work, etc. It was nice to know, especially when some of your animator idols favorite your stuff, just adds more motivation imo.

- Those oldschool pixel jewel awards for views. Kinda pointless to some, but I thought they were fun little milestone images to have next to your work, instead of just text.

- A friends list on your profile, or something to show who your favorite artists are. Could be put on the side or something?

- More customization with your profile in general, perhaps the ability to add your own BG, ability to remove certain pods, etc.

I guess that's all I can think of right now, I am sure there were other things I thought of previously but I just can't think of them off the top of my head.

Also just another note when I made a blog post couple of days ago I tried uploading PNG's but they weren't showing up as transparent? I don't know if it was my browser but thought it was weird how they didn't show up properly (in chrome).
