The "how world will end" discussion is really a severe case of public paranoia (mayan calendar ends = end of the world); yet, the idea is scary, and can happen at any second. Some asshole decides to risk the lives of billions to retain fear over the world with nuclear missiles, let it be an american, arab, or just some stupid kid.

But when it ends, all the conspiracies, and only one truthful to its end, it's horrible to see how it happens. The screams of those running in vain. The way they see their surroundings crumble apart. The way you see your loved ones look at you in despair, and there's no way you can stop it.

I hope it is confirmed as preventable, because the world will consume itself in fear, and, well, we'll be responsible for it by then.

I've already played Modern Warfare, but never got deep into the game. Played the first couple of levels, liked it.

Don't know about World at War, that's why I came to NG.

Someone in my family will head to the US soon, and I'll use that to my advantage to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or World at War.

I pop it in my computer and the Install window doesn't show. I go into MyPC, and head into the CD. I click INSTALL.EXE, showing some wierd error message.

Is there anyway to fix this, or am I screwed? I already used CDCheck (recovers lost info from discs) and no dice. Failed on everything.

Now, is there a way to save the disc, or do I go get a torrent? If it's the latter, give me a way on how to get a virus-free one, if you have the time. Don't give me that "Torrents are never the answer. Buy another disc" white-knight crap. I'm not in a area where they sell that disc.
