Please don't consider this a rant, you should get flash 8, if you want it look on youtube and theres plenty of vids showing how you can get it free. Macromedia aren't really gonna care since you know... they don't own flash anymore. Just a thought.

You could ask someone you know to download the flash player installer then send it you via MSN or something or ask one of us =] its not that hard really, alteratively your firewall is probably blocking you from downloading the activeX or something unless your an administrator in which case it wouldn't really matter.
When you click on yellow bar try refreshing the page, if all else fails ask Email Adobe saying "Why The F**k Won't Flash Player DOWNLOAD".

hope this help. =]

well to convert it u cud save it as a flash 8 file in adobe cs3 flash, then open it with flash 8 pro (assuming u have it) then from flash 8 pro save it as an MX document.

well this really has nothing to do with me, but if your that worried about not gettin credit for it, anyone who posts or glances at this thread is a witness to it, if you kick up enough fuss then someone's gonna notice that your idea was stolen, but.... he doesn't seem like the kinda guy to steal an idea anyway.

make things go transparent
I keep seeing words and stuff fast fade in and out
make the screen shake without having to move the scenery

are any of you out there willing to help me with my animation problem or am I just blowing smoke and hoping to catch a signal?

To make things go transsparent you could:
A. make the object a movie clip and use filters
B. select the fill and line separately and change tha alpha percentage.

No problems exactly just a hard time using it, i mean im sure its all down to practice, i was just wondering if i could get some advice as it is a new piece of kit for me, never really used one before and havn't got much of a clue.

but thanks for your replies guys

August 20
pivot or flash 8
12 FPS 550x400 any
the best 7
yes

well there's a slight problem i don't think pivot can export swf. and 12 FPS is sorta sucky for stick fights, you want it 18 or 24... just ideas... also i think this would make a great collab if you had some awesome stick animators but if its just called "stick fight collab", how much attention will it get?

Erm just because he has no submissions doesnt mean he can't help... if he can help people in this thread then it doesnt matter how good at animating he is, he obviously knows what hes talking about.

Response to: 50 Frames collab 3 Posted April 25th, 2008 in Game Development

Help... Posted February 8th, 2008 in Game Development

im a total noob at flash, i can do simple stuff like stickmen and colourless drawing but i cant do:
pre-loader bars *
actionscript (that stuff just hurts)
movie clips that magically do something in an animation? *

I'd Really appreciate some help with the ones with *'s.

Thank you
and you can laugh
