I'm pretty sure they were.

Grey Fox was the only one who was a member of Foxhound,

He was the only one to get the codename "Fox".

and he was the ninja,

And?

the ninja isn't really trying to help Snake, they're just doing the same thing, and then Snake kills Ninja because Ninja demands it because he is "seeking death" or something, so there is no self-sacrifice or stalling for time.

But he was trying to stop Metal Gear from moving, and distract it long enough for a good shot at REX.

Also, I don't think the bases in Mega Man were secret,

In MMX Sigma's base was secret according to the plot.

Zero didn't choose to sacrifice himself, it sort of just happened,

I'm pretty sure he blew himself up.

MGS guys are named after animals but not modeled after them,

I didn't say that. Only named.

and you don't get their powers when you kill them either.

I said that they have different weapons and abilities, not that you gain THEIR abilities. Also this has nothing to do with much, but in MGS3 if you stamina-killed bosses you would get their camo that added special protection against certain stuff.

Your bridge is flimsy. (I haven't played either of the games in a long time, though)

Well then I guess your assumptions are flimsy too.

And I want it for PC. I had and played it for the 360 for a while, but my 360 was borrowed rendering my 360 version of L4D useless. Now I want it for PC. Should I get L4D2 or the original?

Also please no arguments about L4D2 being a ripoff and Valve not promising DLC, etc: I want a fresh honest opinion about L4D2 being better or not, quality and content-wise.

How many of you, when there's two guns for two players at a machine (as long as they're not shotguns) put money in both slots and dual-wield? I do it all the time, and it feels so awesome. If split screen it sucks, but most of the time it isn't.

Metal Gear even came out before the original Mega Man (the NES version came out 5 days later, but the MSX2 version released in the U.S. in September of 1987).

Except that i'm talking about MGS, dumbasses.

A game in which a specially engineered super-soldier must stop a rebellion staged by old members of his unit, who are all named after an animal (octopus, et al) and possess different weapons. His fight will take him to a secret enemy base where his sword-wielding friend will sacrifice himself to stall for time against an enemy utilizing a bipedal battle robot.

wait wat

Alright, so we got a screenshot anatomy today. This announce a new GF website feature too. They must REALLY like this game.

What new things does this tell us? Well for one the graphics are confirmed to look like ass, and another is that you use a cursor to shoot paint and thinner similar to Mario Galaxy's star bits. Actually the best gameplay they could have with this concept. Also, what is so important about any camera angle showing Mickey's ears? Honestly, who gives a shit?

No, the first game's marketing was based on it being a more intense fast-paced platformer than Mario was, and it was. It wasn't until Sonic 2 when OMG BOUNCING OFF WALLS AND RUNNING LOOPS AT OVERLY FAST SPEEDS TO FEED KID'S ADHD shit came in.

It is when it's a major cause of Game Over. I keep wandering into dungeons that are way too high in level for someone playing with five hearts, and there was no World Wide Web when the game was released so I can't help but think that it's happened to a lot of people before. It's a cheap tactic to make the game seem harder than it is. Cryptic and partial hints are one thing, figuring them out can be a proper brain-teaser, but no hints? That's just fake difficulty.

But there WAS Nintendo Power, which pretty much anybody playing Zelda at the time had. And even if you didn't, you drew a map.

Heaven fucking forbid there be obstacles instead of running on a straight plane.

Fast forward to modern games. Zelda has long since fixed its early problem with being too open-ended,

Disregard EVERYTHING I have said and read this: I don't want survival-horror. That's all that I don't want. Usually, if it isn't survival horror it is mindfuck, which is PREFERRED (not required, the topic title is misleading) because it's what I actually get scared of.

Here are some flash games that meet these requirements:

All of these have one thing in common: They are psychological horror/mindfuck, not survival horror. Again, I don't exactly want solely those kinds of horror games, I just DON'T want survival horror, which is very rare among horror games these days.

What the fuck is Memphis-z? Also Chip, Silver, and Tikal don't appear in any games other than the ONE game they were each in, and most likely will never return again except for party games. And even there, it can't be any worse than MKWii with all the alternative baby characters.
