I was wondering how I'd go about making a custom screen saver with flash? what would I have to do?

not 100% sure on how to do it myself, just thought I'd point out that their are many quality shows on Cartoon Network, and anyone who thinks it's exclusive to children has very poor taste. As Dr. Suess once said "those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"

export it as an AVI file. That generally works for me.

SO I'm very...challenged when it comes to using action-script. I know how to make a VERY basic platformer, and thats about it, however one trick I Want to learn is how to make a sort of "quick time" event in a game. Hit a button and a sequence occurs, ect. How would I do that?

I'm anything but a master, but I wish someone had me to make sure I got frame by frame stuff down earlier. Look up some of the tutorials on this site as well.

you'll be happiest learning to use both. You'll need frame by frame more often as it's the crux of all animation, but tweening done PROPERLY can be one of your best friends.

I don't know about the laggy cam " have same prob some times" HOWEVER, the music issue I might be able to help. Sometimes when a flash gets long, the music will unsync. To fix this, I have a "silent" sound file play between the places where I don't have any sound. This generally works for me, though your lag might be a different issue.

it says that it can't use wma files because of some sort of contract issue...wtf?

My computer can only record in wma files "as far as I know" yet flash does not seem to read these files, what can I do to make flash read these files?

Well I just go into whatever I have as a ground and manipulate the symbol to be a bunch of platforms.

Some times when I want my V-cam to zoom in on something, it lag's a lot and sort of ruins the ascetic. How can I fix this with out taking the cam out?

what's the deal with the NG calender? Is it done, being made, ect, when is it going to be available for purchase and for how much?

their really is no one way to start. IT would depend on what you want to do.

I suggest checking out the tutorials around the site "Search for tutorial" you'll find animation techniques, how to use the tools, junk like that.

Personal thing of mine: Don't get hung up on using motion tweeining, its useful in small amounts, but only if you know what you're doing. Get the basics of frame by frame stuff down first.

I want to make a flash site, and I Was wondering if I could just have the "Site" be a big flash file? I'd have the different sections act as buttons that would go to different scenes "news, archive, ect" all I'd need would be a web host right? Is their anything about that that would'nt work ?

you're well constructed argument has one flaw...I don't...CARE...who you are. I...honestly have no idea who you are, yet you have some vendetta against me and those who want to animate.

Perhaps you are having a bad day and just want to yell into a void, like many other folks who don't know a respectable way to deal with their anger. I suggest punching a pillow, it's a far better technique for releasing aggression. As opposed to cursing at a group of people to far away to slap you silly. In the audio portal their are those looping animations that go with the music, how do I make those? What action script do I use? ect?

I need some tips on how to make decent backgrounds "positioning, style, perspectives that work ,ect"

This has happened to me a few times, and I've been able to compensate for it, however I can't avoid it forever and I need help to fix it.

Some times when I use audio, I'll synch it up perfectly in the scene. It will play exactly where I want it to, but when I play the whole movie, the audio starts much earlier then it should and the entire movie suffer's. I've tried changing the sound to stream, event, ect but nothings worked.

note: this is NOT something that I need audacity for. I dont need help editing the sound, I need help having it synch the way it's supposed to.

I got this wonderfull new laptop, and it has a built in microphone which is actually very good. It's very clear when I use it while playing games, but when I record with it, for some reason the sound is very low and it is turned into a WNA file instead of a mp3 "which is what I need for flash"

what can I do to remedy these issues?
