My userpage has a pre-computer-reboot fix for the virus. It'll still delete the files after you reboot, but after you reboot, the problem becomes integrated into the windows system files or something. :/

Yeah, I get those extended times every now and then. I don't know why it does it, but now I just use 7zip for everything I need.

Your desktop wallpaper gets switched with a Star Syndicate one, TONS of shortcuts that lead to a flash files saying how you got hacked appear on your desktop, you get locked out of pretty much everything (like control panel, system restore, etc.), heh, you obviously get the keylogger, and Newgrounds and several other sites are then automatically redirected to the Star Syndicate one when you try to get to them. Oh, and you also get a message before you log on saying that you have been hacked by the SS.

So, yeah, I want everybody who has the virus on their PC to pm the text of the logfile you get from running a program called Hijackthis. That way, I can compare and see what changed.

I just wanted to make sure that if I installed a program on the Virtual Machine, it won't fuck up my actual OS. I know that people use it to test software on other operating systems without the need to dual boot or anything, but what about malicious software? No, I don't want to go and make a bunch of crap to piss off your average pc user, but there's recently been an epidemic of people getting the Star Syndicate virus due to a stupid 4chan "game". I just want to find out exactly what it adds/modifies so I know what to fix.

So, will purposely getting a virus on a virtual desktop affect my actual booted OS at all?
