I don't see why not, it's still about discovering time travel even if the guy is just imagining it. No one said it had to be science fiction.

But for those a little squeamish (for horror, blood, etc.) then it might be best to pass (although I strongly encourage nevertheless).

Just a short sample (there's comedy too later ) I hope you all enjoy (it's a little intense, I know, but what's fun without lunacy?:))

You better win the whole tournament or I'll be pissed.

I'm trying to throw something together as well, but I feel that I'm rushing it a little too much because of exams and I'm also a little uncertain about the simpe/naive style I've chosen for this intry and how to animate it most effectively. Anyone want to give some constructive critisism? :)

Storyboard: 100%
Sound: 99%
Animation according to storyboard: 75%
Finetuning: 0%

The only criticism I could make is about the pan across the doors is a little slow. Otherwise it's looking really good.

I am WAY behind
I have 30 seconds done but I think I have 5 minutes worth of script :/

I'm not doubting you or anything but just rethink your strategy to see if you can handle it. I just wanna see you do well. I find that the longer animation you make for a contest the higher risk of losing quality in the craft itself.

I have 30 seconds of animation done but I'm getting distracted by Game of Thrones. fucking joffery.

Response to: Game Jam 6 Go! Posted December 5th, 2011 in Collaboration

My team, team Kant (love the pronunciation) decided to send this to me after I spent my time making a beginning cutscene.

UPDATE: Mikey and I have decided to hold off from submitting a game of low quality to the jam, and instead we're going to polish the engine and graphics and make it the best it can be before submitting it as a separate game. Sorry guys!
-Elf

It's kind of a polite way of saying "fuck you". I thought the point of game jamming was to get something done in the designated amount of time. That's what I thought was cool about it, the challenge of getting at least something done before the time limit and submitting it. The whole risk taking aspect was one of the most appealing things about this, but I didn't think the risky part was being ditched. I thought I did my fair share and I wanted to see at least an end product. Does this happen a lot?

Here's the cutscene I made, I thought it was funny and matched the style of our game really well. This does sound bitchy but I'm kinda bummed out about this. I still want to participate in more game jams but I'm slightly more reluctant to now.

It was about a house painter that smells too much of his own paint and hallucinates that he goes though a different dimension. It was going to be a platformer.

I just want this to be seen and not feel like it's wasted.
