Response to: Converting XNA to .swf Posted July 16th, 2014 in Programming

There is no way to make a game in xna and get a .swf out of it. If you want to use C# and make web games learn Unity3D which has a webplayer supported here on NG.

Hi,

I was just wondering what the haxe vs as3 population is like on newgrounds

Response to: Away3D4...more documentation plox Posted January 9th, 2013 in Game Development

I mean using the celdiffusemethod, and celspecular method, and anything involving accessing joints from .obj files

Has anyone found that trying to find out how to use features of away3d4 that are not in the github examples or tutorials fucking impossible. if someone could point me in the right direction for applying cel shading and accessing model bones it would be much appreciated

Looking for Artist/Level designer Posted January 8th, 2013 in Collaboration

I'm looking for an artist and or a level designer. I am confident in my programming skills, but REALLY suck at making levels and making art and junk. I have a few project going, but if you got an idea or project going I'm all ears especially for mobile

get the fuck outta here

ummm..... you've made what exactly? I might be offended if you could put up something note worthy

@sweet thx it seems implementing things isn't that hard but putting it all together into a finished product

Coding is easy... Design is hard Posted November 11th, 2012 in General

It seems so easy to code but so hard to actually make levels and obstacles for the game, i feel like i should just be able to write a loop that should generate my levels

IDEs and frameworks vs Unity Posted October 11th, 2012 in Programming

Does anyone here use unity to make games? I keep telling myself Im GOING to use it but it doesn't seem that worth it. Does it have any real advantage over using vcs or flashdevelop?

i understand suggesting py, but AS3 anyone? Easy starting point and lets you jump right into java, c# and haxe
