Actually no, I really wasn't sure what to do. But a few weeks ago The Zelda Collab was on the front page, and that kind of inspired me a little. Also, I was watching some "get item" parodies on youtube, so that made me decide that I wanted to do my own version of a "get item" for the Tour.

well so be it here is another artwork
You found the Roc's Cape. This allows you to jump and glide much farther.
Oh and one more thing before I go to sleep (yes, early to bed, early to rise... waking at 5 for work).
After going through over 2000 submissions in the unscouted section of the portal, I don't think it's that ridiculous that I scouted 40 people [maybe still ridiculous].
And with that, I bid thee all a good night.

How long have they had their account? How active have they been? Check their post history. Is the level of art consistent throughout? Or did they suddenly become laserkarl overnight? ...all it takes is one person to get through and scout a bunch of alts or known idiots, and the place goes to hell.
Yeah, that's what I've been doing. I wasn't just using TinEye; I was going through people's previous posts to check their art progress. That's one of the main things I was basing my scouting on. If they really didn't have much to support their work, I didn't scout them. There were over 30 users that I didn't scout because their accounts are way too new, or they didn't have significant art posts to support what they are posting now.
Like I already said though, I'll cool it with the scouting. I'll keep reporting stolen works, but I'll stop with scouting.
Although this thread is going to get locked for breaking the rules, I just want to say I already reported him hours ago. I installed the TinEye application for my browser and now I can search any image through TinEye without having to constantly log in.
I've reported at least 40 pieces so far.

It's also not easy to build something when you've had lots of wine to drink.
Trust me, you get all cheery and happy and start singing songs, but in no way would you build stuff.

1: 40 scouts is alot, Im sure that you took your time on checking up on people, but Im sure you don't know all those people and you don't know what all those people might choose to do.
2: You are too "trigger happy" in my opinion. There are a quite few of your scouts that I think are undeserving of getting scouted. They should use the art forum and get some critiqe instead or not "go public" with their artwork, because they just need more practice. I think that the art forum should be a little more elite (in lack of a better term).
I apologize for all my typeos spelling mistakes. I got vacation and I am a wee bit tipsy at the moment.
Yeah, I didn't mean to make it a public debate, but I figured you'd check this thread before you checked my userpage.
Yeah, I know 40 scouts is quite a lot, and you might be right that I am too trigger happy. But I think maybe it's more like I'm too generous. It's just that I try to give everyone that I believe deserves it a chance, but maybe you're right and I should have them brush up on their skill a bit. Then again, is it any different for me to have 40 scouts, or for me to have fewer scouts and them to get scouted by others? Maybe si, maybe no.
But taking what you've said, I guess I will "cool down" with the scouting for now. But I will continue to search pieces for authenticity and keep up with my reports.
TinEye is such a useful tool in the art forum and now art portal. I suggest you all get it, or get the plug-in for your web browser. The plug-in allows me to right click an image and search it, without having to go through the site. If you're interested, this is the site - http://tineye.com/
Well Lunds, you're right. I've scouted a lot of people, more than probably anyone else. But I vouch for who I scouted because I believe they deserved it. There's a bit of a better explanation in my response to your comment on my news post.
Also, I must have reported at least 40 images since the art portal has been up.
People, just wait a bit, I'm sure he'll be back. He's currently working on some other stuff right now, including an entry for the Bad Game Fan Art contest, so just hold up for now.

As it looks right now I would say that it is. If you're unsure, just check out the stuff on pox's site or the link I posted on page 2.

Yep, it's looking pretty good so far.

Yeah, it appears to be a bug. It says for that picture that you're not scouted, but when I click to scout you it gives me an error saying "this user already belongs to the portal". Hopefully it's fixed soon.
Yeah, your name doesn't fit in the sig entirely and it was obviously made with MS paint.
Woo NG Sketchbook Tour 2009 piece. A bit of a parody on the "Get New Item" from the Zelda series, a bit of a tribute to all the artists who've put hard work into their pieces for this years' Tour.
And yes that is an angry faic navi

Yeah, that picture is by the guy Handre I mentioned on page 2. Check out the link, it has a clear definition of what Bad Game Fan Art means.

It's extremely simple, the trees just copy-pasted over and over again, and the tops of the trees do look like giant holly leaves.

Here's my piece for the Castle Collab. The original hand drawing is on the left. I then scanned it, traced it and coloured in in photoshop. Fairly simplistic.
