What is your favorite part of art?
That feeling when I know something will look awesome, also that feeling when people agree that it is awesome.
What got you to start drawing in the first place?
Crayon coloring in pre-school lol. I was always that kid who loved drawing dinosaurs and stuff. Recently it was an art class I took last semester that peaked my interest again (I got a B in that class...). Most of the art I did in high-school was doodles on my notes.
How long have you been drawing for?
Man I don't know. Ever since I could hold a crayon/pencil what ever.
What types of artwork do you enjoy?
Badass things. Generally involving fantasy or scifi. Realistic or stylized, as long as it's pretty. Attractive women help too.
What programs do you use to draw/paint?
I'm "that guy" who uses an iPad 2 to paint. I'm using an app called ArtStudio to right now. I used to just use paper and pencil (and only last semester during a class I used gouache paints).
What is your best work to date?
I don't know. I recently did a cool batman pic that I'm proud of. Nothing really blows away the rest yet though.
Who do you look up to?
Adonihis on deviantart. This guy's art is spectacular. http://adonihs.deviantart.com/
There are others, but this guy is the one that comes to mind first.
Do you have any other creative hobbies besides drawing/painting?
I used to make levels in Little Big Planet 2 (not enough time anymore).

Cool sketches. You should try doing a finished work sometime. Also something I like to do is use many different references, and not really copy one but sort of look at them and let them influence my painting. It would be interesting to see some original artwork (but it's perfectly okay to use references for original artwork as well).

I started painting the hooded dude today just for a bit. Definitely not finished but looks good so far. I think I'll start posting more WIP pics for advice or w/e.

You're totally right. Luckily the head is on a different layer so I can use it in another painting. I'm thinking of eventually doing a big epic self portrait where I'm riding a velociraptor (or something cool), and wearing bandanna, and holding a lightsaber, or portal gun, or something. I just want to fill it with video game references. Not sure when I'll do it, but I already have the face.
If/when I do it I'm thinking of basing it off this painting. I plan on doing some quick stuff first though, to experiment with coloring and some ideas. Thanks for the compliments guys.
