Also I HIGHLY recommend the Truglide stylus. It's inexpensive and is the best stylus I've used so far. It glides across the screen really well unlike all the rubber tipped stylus's.

I recently acquired an iPad and saw that you could use an app called AirDisplay to turn your iPad into a second screen while retaining its touch capabilities. Has anyone used this to draw in Photoshop or Flash with any success. The app is $10 and I'm checking to see if anyone has gotten good results from it. Thanks for any input.

I use an iPad and I'm doing just fine. My favorite art apps are ArtStudio and Brushes. This one was painted using Brushes.

Great work! Ramona Flowers is awesome. Keep it up, you've got a lot of talent.

Maybe. Post it here and clarify exactly what you'll be expecting. I'm pretty new to all this.

Man I really dig your subject matter, haha. Some of your work seems way more hyper detailed than some of the rest, which is fine. It's just something I've noticed. And some of you basic roughs look way stronger than some others as well. The last one looks strong than the red masked one previously for example. It makes it difficult to gauge your 'skill level' I think you might be a tad better at rendering than you are at 'building' from scratch. You might do a few days of just anatomy building and stuff and see if it makes your lines and figures more confident?

Great stuff all around, hope you keep it up and keep sharing! Can't wait to see that Garrus/Tali picture done! Stay cool man.

Yeah my biggest problem right now is that I haven't practiced drawing as much I should. I'm not good with anatomy yet. Also I do a lot of trail and error and experimenting. I try different things and if I really like something keep working on it until there's nothing else I want to do with it (the hyper detailed ones). Others are more like experiments I didn't feel were worth putting a whole lot more effort into.

Admittedly I cheat a bit sometimes by doing a rough trace of something to get the proportions down. It saves me a lot of time and prevents me from having to restart something after realizing I totally messed something up.

Either way I'm going to take a drawing class next semester and plenty more classes after that. Hopefully I'll be getting much better at drawing and anatomy.

Anyway, it's looking good. I think her right shoulder may be a little low. I like how you handled the eye-glow.

Just ordered a new stylus for my ipad. My old one crapped out because the tip ripped apart.

http://www.amazon.com/TruGlide-Capacitive-LYNKtec-capacitive -touchscreens/dp/B007KAQ7AU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=134178530 4&sr=8-1&keywords=truglide+stylus

It's pretty inexpensive and the tip is supposed to be far more durable than the usual rubber tips. Also, it's supposed to glide really well across the screen and the tip is a bit smaller than other ipad stylus's. My first Stylus was a targus, it was the only thing they had at Radioshack...

Do you use the bamboo stylus for iPad?

Nah, I use some random brand which was the only one they had in radioshack. The tip is starting to tear a little so I may see about getting a nicer stylus.

Here's a quickie I did today. I might try doing more quickies.

HRRRRRNG- can't decide.
Will think about it tomorrow.
NOPE thought about it tonight - or rather this morning - slight rearrangement of the features and a bit of work on the jaw and I am pleased with the result!

I like this face a lot, you should continue on it. Also on the topic of strong jaws, I personally think a strong jaw can be sexy. Olivia Wilde is a good example.

The woman will have on some armor/clothes of some kind. Magic, arrows, holstered weapon is a must of course.
