Thanks for the replies! I come bearing more stuff (yay). Okay, so I'm making a seperate post for this because I feel like there is alot to be explained. First things first, being that I'm fully aware that the doctor in this page not only has terrible grammar, but that he also is missing an ear. This page started when there were five minutes left of my drawing class and I hadn't really done anything productive, so I decided to write this out by asking people to give me random lines of dialogue. It wasn't until after drawing class did I actually draw this page and later on have one of my friends inked it. So yes, I know the plot makes absoulutely no sense BUT me and Mcinkerson (his real name is Jeremy but he doesn't have a site or da page or nuthin) decided it would be fun to try and write a backstory behind it so it DID make sense. However, being the lazy person that I am, I thought it would be even more fun to have YOU do the work! So post any backstory ideas or critiqs or whatevers and I might continue the story that way unless I completely abandon this whole idea.

Turns out only one picture can be put up per post, so here is the second one.

Remember how I said I was putting up stuff soon? Yeah, well it turns out that when I said soon, I actually meant "sometime within the next two months". Wow, that sure is whacky. Also, I have been spending some time in the magical world of stickam, where I met Aniz and physicsman09, who are both coolcats. I also drew things for them. The first one is a picture of two Mad characters which will have one of them (as far as I know) in Aniz'z upcoming animation. The second picture is physicsman 20 years in to the future. I know that the both pictures are a lil' sketchy because I inked them lazily, but I still feel like their is somethin wrong with the Mad picture. Criticism is much appreciated, whether it's constructive or verbally abusive.

Nope, never invited, never really wanted to either. It's just a bullshit thing. Who gives a fuck about another year, it's the same shit every year anyway, fuck it.

I like that you received so much praise and controversy on just making a paper bridge.

Wow, Good job on barraging him with compliments just so you could sneak in your own art. That totally makes you cool.
Hey bud, it's an open thread, I think the Op wanted to see other peoples abstract art as well,
So careful with the sarcasm.

I apologize. I shall put away my sarcasm laser away... for now. In all honesty I thought you were just complimenting him so you wouldn't receive negative criticism because your insecure about your art already and you're just looking for compliments. But obviously I'm wrong. *LAZER BLAST*

Oh people are totally making great tv shows, they're just not getting to be actual shows. Nick only airs shows based on these factors:
-Flashy Colors
-Repeating story lines
-Revolves around fart jokes
-main character preferably a sponge
What happened to the good old days with Ren and Stimpy (even though the creator is a d-bag) and The original spongebob ( It got crappy after season three just like Hypnotoad)? And yes, I'm saying what everyone else is saying but I'M MORE IMPORTANT SO YOU SHOULD CARE WHAT I THINK!

I'd advise against that and tell you to post it anyway. There are a lot of good artists here who'll be more than happy to give you pointers on just about anything.
Post your WIPs here and your final work in the Art Portal.

That idea isn't too shabby, I think I'll do just that. Thanks for the advice. Should I try shading on the picture I just posted, or should I draw something entirely new? I would have more fun experimenting with shading while creating new stuff ,but using the same picture is better for comparison. Ponder, ponder, ponder.

The way you colored it, it seems like if ou threw it into photoshop and tried to shad with the tablet it would stand out. i say leave it.

Yeah, I feel more comfortable with actual inking and coloring anyways. Thanks for the advice.

Response to: My wonderland of retinal delights Posted December 26th, 2009 in Art

Thanks, I never really focused on shading before mainly because I spend most of my time focusing on inking which I still feel like I could work on more. I also realized I did a sloppy coloring job, but shmeh, who really cares. I also have a tablet so that could probably make it easier but I feel that would remove part of the style. Opinions?

My wonderland of retinal delights Posted December 26th, 2009 in Art

This is where I'm gonna put my artwork from now on and I don't care whether you like it or not, I would like criticism. And when I say criticism I don't mean super nice compliments or a run on sentence of vulgar curse words. I mean actual criticism.
