Posted: 07/25/09 11:40 PM

It's a US History : Years 1945+ course that im taking in college right now. We're supposed to think of any events that happened in US History and show our perspectives and arguments. I know some NG users are somewhat intelligent so this is a question to you guys, is writing an essay analyzing the lack of necessity of CIA led coups in foreign countries? If not could someone recommend something to write about that has two sides and an argument? (Please, nothing too common like should we have dropped the A-Bomb)

For some reason when I used a search engine, it gave me a bunch of late night places to eat. Does anyone know any places that have a computer where I can go to my e-mail and print something late at night? Staples is closed and my report is due tomorrow. It would suck to get no credit when I've spent hours on it. =[

Although I do enjoy the classics. I just have a feeling of renting a movie that has decent CGI. Are there any good ones out there other than 28 days later?

That's what I thought too. Even after you lie to them that you have no money. They still talk to you. He was drinking a beer when I met him, but that shouldn't someone have at least one item to make them happy? Sometimes the benefit of a stimulant is better than food for a day.

While I was walking on my way home today I met this homeless man who was from the Caribbeans. We ended up walking and talking for about 30 minutes. I've never gotten so many stares in my life. After bonding with him we ended up talking about life, education, struggle and whatnot. By the time he went to go journey somewhere else in L.A he actually offered ME something at a 7-11. Offered his last two dollars he had in his pocket to buy me a drink. =[. Oh well. Said this to say next time you see a crazy homeless man, talk to him! Ten years on the streets actually gives a person some valuable information.

Now I feel guilty for always ignoring the homeless for the past 17 years. =[

Being an Iranian-American I know a lot of Farsi, but I can't keep up an advanced conversation, like the whole dilemma with the Iranian election going on right now. I was just wondering if there were any websites that had free advanced courses in languages. I have doubts that I could get a free complex course but, you never know what the internet has in store.

I have practically no sugar. No one has diabetes in my family. Plus you feel fatigued with diabetes, and you have excessive urination. I just get thirsty. I think it might be the burger I had today. Extremely salty. =x (no im not fat enough to be at risk for diabetes either)

You feel thirsty, you drink, then your thirst is quenched? That's exactly what's supposed to happen.

Do you mean your thirst isn't quenched? I dunno, how much water have you had? Maybe you're just really dehydrated and need a ton of water. Is your piss almost clear or is it really yellow? Really dark means you're dehydrated.

I mean that while im drinking the water, I feel like I'm on the verge of vomiting since I had so much and that I don't need anymore, 20 seconds after, feels like I just ate a rock of salt.

I feel extremely thirsty but whenever I drink water I have a feeling that my thirst is quenched. Is this normal? The only results I get are "drink more water". There are no doctors available at 11:55 PM so im turning to probably the worst place to get medical advice online, oh well. Does anyone else feel thirsty even after drinking a crap load of water?

I don't understand a single word of what this Indian guy is saying, however I love the mood and style of the music. Does anyone know what type of music this is?

Please don't say Indian, that's like saying Metallica is American Music to an Indian, too broad.

So could someone tell me the genre of music this is or similar artists?

Don't read this as a complaining post.

Im waiting for the rap / african american music phase to be over, and I was just wondering how long it usually takes for the genre of mainstream music to change. I think metal only lasted from sabbath to metallica? (I might be wrong.) How much longer do you think it will take until I can turn on my radio without having to hear horrible grammar? By mainstream I mean the normal stations on radios.

Yea I plan on calling them when I get back from school tomorrow. I took a placement test and I need to take two classes (one year) of math that I already took in High School. I guess I forgot the early material because they cut you off and end the test early if you do poorly in the beginning (computerized test). I can take the test Tuesday, so I'll just study the early stuff. =o Im still scared shitless. o-o

Does anyone here know how much they care about how long it took you to do your math course. For example, if it took me 2 years to finish the required math to transfer while it took other person 1 year, however I still had a 3.6 GPA or higher, how much would that extra year matter when being compared to the other student when transferring from a two year community college to a 4 year like USC?

P.S ~~~~> PLEASE only give a response if you actually happen to know what your talking about. It's too late to call a college counselor and im pretty nervous about it right now.
