Bah..

Little do these flash artists realise that perhaps if someone threw some $ our way it might help pay for new/better gear while also motivating us to release more tracks.

Breach of copyright Posted June 27th, 2008 in Audio

Hi there everyone,

I found out that someone has used one of my tracks that I posted here on Newgrounds(with its creative commons license) has been used in a flash submission that HallPass has purchased certain rights too. I have contacted both HallPass and the flash author and neither have got back to me about the breach of copyright. Has anyone else had experience with this and can offer me any advice?

Also if anyone else thinks i should let it slide feel free to speak up, i am fairly open to suggestions about what i should do :)

Actually its this - http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/39 5869
He credits me for the music, but does not even use the music - he also credits an absurd amount of other people who i doubt had anything to do with the flash submission - but that doesnt phase me.

I just want the track deleted off my audio list is all, not off any flash submissions.

Need a track deleted Posted June 27th, 2008 in Audio

Hey guys,

I have a track i really really really want deleted,
Someone credited me in their flash work without even using the audio in the submission to begin with, so now i cannot delete the track myself.

I have tried the search function to see if this question had been asked before, which i am sure it has - but my searches seemed to turn up many many pages of unrelated material - so sorry for making you all answer this yet again.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated :)

Deleting music Posted May 1st, 2008 in Audio

Response to: Audio Portal Evolution #2 Posted December 27th, 2007 in Audio

Genres next to the songs on the audio front page. So new songs get hits from people who like that particular genre as opposed to the listener having to click on a song to find out that its a genre they don't like. The same could go with the "best tracks ever section" on the front audio portal page too. At the moment its very much a hit and miss affair as whether the music will be in a genre the listener is looking for or not.

Alrighty its been a long time in production and here it is - Bento San - Dark Matter Fragment - Drum and Bass this will be my only submission for this comp cause i have been pouring all my time into this single track.
The computer i am using to make this track is a little slow so i've reached somewhat of a brick wall in the production of the track until i can get my hands on a new pc, which is very shortly but sadly enough not in time for the song comp to finish. That said the track is still of high quality and id love to hear peoples comments! When i get my new rig i cant wait to put in some things i havent been able to do due to a lack of processing power and ill keep this submission up to date for everyone to hear. If i won anything id be pouring the money into this new rig to bring you all even better submissions.

I hope you all enjoy my dark drum and bass entry !
Be expecting much more drum and bass from me in the future !

Amen Brothers !

PS: Ill try to update my track according to any constructive criticism anyone can offer before the comp finishes, so don't forget to have your say !

Oops- Erm a link might help - Fantastic Plasic Incomplete, Hosted on Rapidshare. Ill post again with a newgrounds entry upon completion of the song as i stated in my previous post.

Response to: Mac7 - November Posted November 10th, 2007 in Audio

Omg ! a dnb comp ! This is right up my alley!
So i guess you guys can count me in for some gritty wobbly bass lines topped off with some hard dnb breaks - were talking the dark stuff !
Just so happens that i have already been in the process of creating a track that meets the specifications of this comp that i have been pouring my heart and soul into, so this is some great timing.
With this track i was hoping to set showcase just what level of track i can produce while displaying what feel i give to drum and bass, so this should be very interesting indeed.

A incomplete version is hosted on RapidShare for those of you who would like a taste of what is to come, upon completion ill post the entry onto newgrounds and make another post as my entry post linking to the Newgrounds submission. If anyone really wants to offer constuctive criticism in the mean-time then you can PM me, or we can chat it up on MSN (wastoid at gmail dot com). Ive also started hanging out in the IRC Audio channel but only during Australian hours so it might be hard to catch me there.

I look forward to seeing more drum and bass submissions from you jungle brothers !

I couldn't figure out how to turn it off and it was changing the volume of one of the lead channels. I've just been afraid to even open the panel since then.

Right click on the slider thats moving around when you dont want it to, hit edit events, then select all (ctrl+a) then delete the automation.

If theres nothing in here, then its been linked to an automation controller, like a formula controller or a peek controller or something, If this is the case then when you click click on the cross phaser then click 'link to controller, Click the 'Reset' button, then the 'Accept'.

Its also possible you have an automation clip in your play list that will be named something like "3x Osc - Channel volume envelope" Deleting this automation clip will also fix the problem.

Hope this helps :)

NG = free ads for corperations? Posted October 30th, 2007 in General

I was just doing some flash portal voting and came along this submission - Suzi Says. As a basic rundown your a shopper who needs to jam as many items in your cart as possible. Newgrounds has alot of young impressionable minds pass though it every day, but i highly doubt the average player has any idea that they are playing an ad, obviously designed to make its users shop more - very sly.

Don't get me wrong its not like Newgrounds is the only place we are seeing this now days, theres even board games aimed at kids where they purchase things from a shopping center. Obviously a group such as the one that made this flash submission has the ability to make a whole lot better gameplay than this. Note even how all the items chosen are items that average newgrounds visitors would buy (Headphones, laptops ect.)

Lets marketing groups out of Newgrounds, the power is our(the voters) hands. When you see this kinda crap, blam it to hell ! I believe this crosses the line of what is acceptable advertising. its not even remotly comparable to NG's banners or a hallpass flash loader.

Which is the best?

Fruity loops ftw, lifetime upgrades are nice on top of what everyone else has said. Reason users have had to fork out $ for reason 4 times over now to keep up to date, and although Fruity loops is up to v7 users have not had to repurchase it 7 times over. Reason rewired into Fruity loops is pretty damn powerfull if you can get it running stably too. But id say Fruity Loops wins just for the VST support alone (just save when loading them, they are known to cause FL to crash).

Great concept, this could have many applications. I particularly like how it maintains a low file size in comparison to the variety of audio. Keep up the good work :)

Howdy folks, im a drum and bass artist here new on newgrounds but i have been producing for 8 years, I started posting some non-dnb tracks upon joining, although i mainly do drum and bass. If there any other dnb producers here shoot me a msg with some msn details, id love to talk dnb production with folks.

Response to: F2Jam v4, any artists interested? Posted October 14th, 2007 in Audio

This would make a great last level - the players would know what the hell to do with their selfs. lol

Although on a more serious note, this tamed down version is more suitable. Its a shame i haven't got any more drum and bass tracks posted as i do, maybe finish a worth project by the time this is finished, or wait till version 5 =P

Shoot me a private message with your email or something to get started.

Response to: Audio Advertisements! Posted October 11th, 2007 in Audio

I have decided to make a set of loops called the plastic series, planned to be about 50 second drum and bass loops. two of these loops are already completed and can be found here -

1) Made In Plastic
2) Made With Plastic (this one was submitted in the last 24 hours)

These are mainly designed to be used in high energy flash sequences but make for a good listen anyway if you don't mind a 50 second loop. As all ways feedback is welcome ! I also have plans in future to make other level energy loops in drum and bass and perhaps trance, so if anyone needs Audio for flash submissions and likes, keep an eye on my profile.

I have been making and will continue to make 30-60 second loops for use in flash projects, among posting full songs. My question is, where can i post links on the forum to the 30-60sec loops(while targeting flash artists) without being told to post in the audio advertisment thread on the audio board?

The audio adverisment thread (in my limited experiance posting there) seems to be targeted at music artists making whole songs, advertising to other audio artists for listens/feedback, while flash artists rarely visit there. Please correct me if i am wrong of course !

Thanks in advance.

Feel free to check out some of my stuff, i might even be able to render some of the projects in different layers to send to you to make the remixes easierwithout the quality loss of removing layers using destructive methods. Send me a pm if your intrested.
