Am I tripping or did I actually just read this...
"A cuddly leopard with green hair has been unveiled as the mascot of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa."
OK, understanable, there are leopards in Africa, fair enough, but wait, whats this:
"The character, called Zakumi, has been given his own biography and name to reflect the country's aims and hopes. "
How does a big cat with a green afro reflect the aspirations of a country? What the fuck is going on, that's like saying that to representmy commitment to my job I'm going to dress up as a moose with a penchant for alcohol and a big unemployment benefits cheque.
