But your variance in skill makes me suspicious.
perhaps it depends if you have reference or not cause I know you have reference for this dragon.
Perhaps next time you should just use the reference for getting the details right, not as a crutch.

hehe yeah i guess so mate, but i find it really hard to draw a dragon from my head. i can never seem to get any of the proportions or just the general shape right. but with some practice i should get it. random familiar objects and humans i can get but not so much fantasy creatures if that makes sense
thanks for all the advice and kind words btw <3

thanks for the advice mate ill give that a go but i smudged the charcoal in to kind of give the dragon a dirty/dusty look as though he's been sleeping for a long time

This picture actually took me a couple of hours and this was made with a mixture of HB 3B and 7B pencil

AND i will upload the first two pictures as the photographs dont do them justice

howdy I love pencil and biro and I'd like some practice so why not get some requests off you imaginative lot.
dicks are acceptable but only in good humor dont suggest something like mindchamper surrounded by the NG staff with their dicks out

anyway here is my opening piece and I can shade but i felt this picture didnt really need it
