Sorry I was just trying to have some fun--I feel that the audio lounge often gets too crowded. But mind you I did include some discussion on the creation of audio as to how I am influenced-but yes there is also a thread for that.
Read your request and thought of a track I once made so I uploaded it for you Digital Corsair
It's Friday night for me tonight, and The Crystal Method is in my city MPLS to play a show!! They are one of my favorite music groups and actually inspired me early on to create music. Matter of fact I claim they are the sole reason I ended up as a music producer. I highly recommend giving them a listen!
So its Friday Night!!! Who's playin' in your town that you would love to see?
I actually recommend neither. /:|
There is a microphone called the StudioProjects B3 which new, not on sale could be expensive, but I have seen it on sale for $99. We used it in college alot on everything from specific drums, guitar amps, and even vocals.
The other good buy, from personal experience, comes from my everyday use of the MXL-2001. Obviously from 2001, but it is a good mic overall. It emulates some of the fancy $1k to $2k condensor microphones. I use it only for vocal recording, 95% of which has been hip hop/rap. Used with a windscreen it produces nice warm vocal tones on a generally flat EQ scale.
Good luck!
Thanks for the links guys, but I am still hoping for something with a little more of a dance beat to it. More in the trance and dance genres.
I had a thought while reading the original post that might bring to light more originality, competitiveness (which helps us become better), and order to the movie score idea.
I think that on a timely fashion such as per month, a new movie title was submitted. Then the submitter of said title created only 5 to 8 scene themes. Everyone would be responsible for making their own 5-8 short themes that they feel would musically fit best for each. All could go in order in a single submission with short pauses in between or if ppl wanted they could just list each linked musical piece in order of the themes per their post.
Anyway I thought this way ppl could really share ideas and actually be forced to create a centralized theme thru each scene for an entire score much like it would be done in hollywood.
Sorry for the long post but if you read it I hope you think it is a good idea or spin-off.
Hey everyone! It's been awhile since i have been on the NG scene for audio so I was wondering if anyone had any new tracks for the winter season. I am about to make my Winter Mashup like I do every year. I usually stick to various forms of electronic dance music i.e.: trance, house, hardstyle...etc
I am looking for music that feels like winter or was made because of or for winter. If you want to make new tracks for me to listen to feel free or help point me to your favorites. I'd even like to here about professional audio for sale out there on the mass market.
Its that time of year again! Have fun! Take the stress off and make music or just be a good listener!!! CHEERS!!
Holy shit....That is a nice thought I can't believe I didn't think of....duuhhhh
Key sampling related to the culture you are trying to place your music in is always a good approach. With the right samples and proper instrumentals as listed above you should be able to garnish the style you're looking for.

Make a CD and mail your music to yourself and keep it sealed, the stamp from the post office is proof enough that if anyone were to steal it, the sealed package has proof of the date, and it'll hold up in court.
I agree with this WritersBlock, as I have heard this same option many times over. It is a cost effective solution to cover as jnry3 said "milestones" which we think are very important now. And it is true in the future you will appreciate AND laugh at the music and art your create now. Good luck!
I am creating a mega mix of dance songs with the genres of trance, and dance music, or disco remixes, etc...
I have a couple songs in mind as far as a good cinematic intro, but I thought I would go the extra mile and see what the AP peeps have to say. Hopefully I will find a few songs that I have never heard before that would totally rock the beginning for my new mix project. So...What are your guys' favorite songs with a big building intro?
Is anyone else unhappy with the changes? Maybe I should take time to get used to things, but dang..... Did anyone else get the feeling they lost all their old submissions in a way?!? How do I fricken reply to a review?
lost......

Agreed, a little pointless.
Although I know SilentSoldier likes the responses.
Sorry for double post...but I noticed that you didnt get him on the top 10:

to tell you the truth: i think that neither i nor floppy deserve to be in that list. 'cause, well yes we spammed some bullshit reviews in the audio portal. i honestly think the list is for those guys and gals who write "real" reviews.
Its nice that you admit that, but I found it funny despite the fact wether or not you wrote legit reviews-you were still the first to reach 1,000 which is a milestone in my book. And no one really acknowledged that. Now maybe in other opinions some one else may be more deserving of the title as first to 1,000, eh w/e.
In the future updates maybe we should acknowledge those that do make it to 1,000-and from there the skies the limit as to how many more reviews we could possibly reach.
Just my two cents ;]
I find it amazing that my attempt to do more reviews has only resulted in having my name melt into all the others names in the abysal middle of that list. Atleast at the bottom ppl can be like oh-there's xNAMEx--seriously most only look at the top or the very body...least I do.
Who reads the middle? lol

Got a lil drunk. Made a song. Woke up to find a sloppy unfinished song. Polished it up best I could and I present to you my experimental process:
Not sure on the genre; it's kinda industrial/ambient/mayeb IDM?
Made the track on Orion Software and VSTs.
Appreciate reviews and votes and downloads!

Your Friendly Neighborhood SineWeaver!
If Fulp got a nickel everytime someone asked this question he would prolly be rich enough to buy Bill Gates' servers and use 'em for NG so we could have DVD quality audio submissions!! \m/
Yeah, googling it all. I have done that before. The real reason I posted was that I was hoping someone had some nice sounding stuff or knew where to get it. And as for FL I don't even have it installed at the moment... :\
Anyone else have suggestions?
ppl have a problem with reading rules
Well that is nearly impossible, unless you want to take apart your speakers or where ever this named headphone jack is and destroy the sodder points. The headphones when plugged into the female part push on a little peice of metal, and that contact mutes your speaker output sending all signal to your cans. So unless you're handy with a sodder gun and are willing to "destroy" the manufactured settings it is sort of an impossible scenario.

I love your compassion! <3
Hey I need some help from you awesome A-Pee-ers!
I have a client who wants some music with some steel drums in it. I majorily use Reason, and I was curious if anyone knows of good samples, or preset packages for the ReDrum, Rex or Samplers.
Thanks in advance for your help!
I'd record you!! I love recording ppl....cept you would have to jet set to my locale...... :[
Prolly not the most cost effective recording then.
Unfortunately I havent had time to read all the posts in this thread, but I thought it was as fitting a place as any to make a statement about ppl voting without reviews.
For instance, you submit a new song and it is doing well with a good number of downloads only a couple reviews and only a couple of votes. The rating is high, but then the next time you load your page your score went way down to hell and there are no new reviews and no new downloads?!! Wouldn't you think ppl would at least be fair enough to tell you why they hate your song and gave it a low score? Anyone else having this problem?
I know this topic goes around and round but damn. Some ppl just suck, huh.
Sorry for venting a little, but maybe it can be fruitful to this thread--I shall read more...
So I dropped another track for my buddy Nukem's FFR! Its another 300bpm-er
ENJOY!!!
