I still have the original DS I got for my 15th birthday. It works great and has no issues when in use, so there's no need to replace it. Sure, the DS Lite has its advantages over the original DS, but to me there's no point in replacing it if the DS Lite is the same as the DS, except its size. I'll get a DS Lite if the DS I have right now breaks. And no, I DO NOT want the DSi. I hate that thing!

There are many games I keep going back to, but the ones that stick out the most are Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, Tomb Raider and both Oddworld PS1 games. Even games I only first played over the last 12 months such as Half-Life and Super Metroid I'll definitely keep going back to again and again as I really love these games and will always enjoy going through them again.

Yeah, I got the Steam version a while ago while it was on sale. I went through Abe's Oddysee but to be honest, I'd rather play them on the PS1 since I'm more familiar with the controls on the console than the computer.

The latest review was pretty good, although I felt it was rather short for where he'd be reviewing two (or four if you count the SNES versions as separate games) educational Mario games. I knew he was going to review Mario is Missing eventually as I think I saw it on one of his intros a while ago and it must have been requested so many times. I'm glad James took a break from reviewing games with relations to recent movies with this video.

Yep, I was in for a treat all right. However, I DO have one complaint about Vice City. The controls for helicopters, planes and such are awful. I mean, individual buttons to turn AND individual buttons to strafe left/right? For the PC port, why couldn't they make the controls a little simpler? Besides that, fantastic game. It's a lot better than GTA3, even though I can't seem to find many stunt places in Vice City, which kinda disappointed me, but not too much. And besides, if I'm that desperate to do crazy stunts, I'll go back to GTA3.

As for San Andreas, maybe the whole gangster and thugs story will grow on me after a while. I'll give it a chance before knocking it. After all, I wasn't really fond of the use of Mafia in GTA3 at first, but later on I thought it was great.

Hey, I still liked the idea of them making four movies, even if it seemed a tad overkill and how clumsy the writers were with Into the Wild Green Yonder. I still consider this to be season 5, but season 6 you can call the true return of Futurama. The movies were made to see how they did and if they sold well, they'd come back with an actual season.

In an ideal world, it was the Simpsons that got canned after 4 seasons and had to be resurrected 6 years later for season 5, while Futurama went on to have 20+ straight years of eps. ;_;

I have to disagree with that idea. I felt The Simpsons were excellent all the way up to season 8. Seasons 9 and 10 were great but weren't anything like the previous seasons. Plus. season 9 had some TERRIBLE episodes, mainly All Singing, All Dancing and The Principal and the Pauper. Season 11 was when things started to go wrong, but to be more precise, the moment Saddlesore Galactica aired on TV. And then the show just got worse and became an abomination from season 14 and onwards, with a few exceptional *GAAAAASP* decent episodes.

As for Futurama, I'm probably going to get shit from you or Coop for this, but I actually don't like the sound of it running for 20+ years straight from the start. If that happened, the show would have most likely deteriorated badly like what's happening to The Simpsons now. Sure, Futurama has more ideas than The Simpsons could possibly have, but running for 20 years straight would do no good to the franchise.

I think what should have happened was letting The Simpsons stop at season 11 for a few years and pay full attention to Futurama. Around 3 - 5 years later, let The Simpsons continue but still pay a good amount of attention to Futurama. The episodes would also have to not ruin any continuities. Now THAT would be ideal in my view.

speaking of indie games on Steam, and there's a game called Blueberry Garden or something that just came out this month

I actually had a look at this game after acknowledging my sister was playing the demo. She claimed the game felt more like an art project than a video game. I had a look myself and it wasn't bad but the demo crashed 5 minutes after playing the game. ;_;

I couldn't agree more. I've always seen console wars as idiotic. I don't mind if people are only interested in one console, but bashing the other consoles and claiming the console they have is the best in every way is absolutely pathetic. If there's a console that doesn't give me enough interest, I'll just leave it and carry on playing games I enjoy. And yes, video games are supposed to be about having fun but thousands have forgotten that purpose.

I don't even pay attention to mainstream music these days with an exception or two. Maybe I need to look further in certain genres, but there's nothing I hear on the radio and TV that appeals to me. I'm happy enough with the new stuff I hear in heavy metal.

Due to some events that's happened this week, a lot won't consider this a bright week. For me, however, next week is something for me to be concerned about as tomorrow, I'll be going to hospital to have my right eye examined after the opticians telling me I might have Keratoconus. I can't say if I definitely have it, but I'll go in tomorrow and see what the outcome will be. That is what I've been wondering since I got the appointment booked, so hopefully everything will be fine when I go in.

In B/P-related news, congrats to Ehwaz for knocking me out of the top 15. :)

DOUBLE UPDATE!

First update: EXP Update #14

Second update: EXP Update 1 Year Special

The first one is the regular EXP update you're all familiar with, so no real changes here. As for the second update, this is a 1 year special update as this time last year I made my first EXP update. There are a few conditions for the 1 year special update:

1. Only those who were on the first update will appear on the list. Those who were added to the spreadsheet afterwards cannot have their EXP determined due to how hard it would be to track down everyone's EXP count from last year.

2. Your rank on this list may not reflect your actual rank. If you want to see a more accurate rank, please check the 14th EXP update rather than this one.

3. Those who have gained 3,640 EXP are hard to determine whether they actually missed a deposit or not.

Apologies for the few inconveniences which may apply to you. Besides those issues, enjoy the updates everyone!
