Sorohanro was looking for some help on some software issues, and due to circumstances cannot post and asked if I could help. I cannot, so I'm looking to you pros out there.

The next is quoted from Sorohanro.

"While trying to run pro tools I run into some issues.

I constantly have same problem with different software.
I install it, run it, works just fine, close the program, then try to run it again and just don't start.
I open "Task Manager" and in "Applications" tab the program is not showing, I open "Process" tab and there it is showing, taking some percents of memory, no CPU . On screen don't appera nothing.
I tried double clicking, right click and "run as", from "Start" menu "Run"... nothing works.

I use legal, licensed software, not cracks.
Win XP, Service Pack3, Intel Core2 Duo @ 2.20GHz, 2 GB ram.
The problem I had with: Audacity, Opera, Mozilla.

Now I'm considering to buy "Pro Tools M-Powered" and I have same problem with the demo, I just can't get it started... what if the complete version will react the same ?...
Please help."

Thanks

Topic: Your opinion on albums.

Posted: 11/23/09 11:44 AM

Forum: Audio

I am currently working on an album.

I am creating each song to be drawn from specific things to theme the entire album.

I am shooting for a 13 song album. There will be no "filler" songs. Each song is related to another as best as I can. The importance of the songs on albums are a big part of the marketing in my mind.

That being said, commercialization THESE DAYS has ruined the concept, and "good albums" are hard to come by. 1 or 2 selling songs and 8 or 9 fillers.

I was going to shoot for a new tech, in Download purchasing ( I still might), but it seems that some people still like to have C.D.'s. So I guess I'll go that route as well. :D

Or are you just kind of getting someone close? Seems it would take more than just settings to even get close.

Yeah, I was gonna mention that too.

Here's a question tho.
I would like to use it, to up some of my flats, and down some of my sharps for my album. If people are gonna pay, the notes should ring true.

My question is, is there a setting that can key "fix" a whole phrase, or do I have to do each note I sing, individually? And if that is the case, I guess I'm going to have to figure out what notes I'm using, then learn how to read music a bit. haha. Damn. I guess there's work involved.

Pretty awesome.

To further audio production, If anyone has line 6 pod's, and haven't obtained gearbox yet...HIGHLY recommended for tone as well.

Beauty is, look up favorite song/band/guitarist/album. Then, where it says "humbucker, or single coil", you click it, and it automatically configures your pod to the closest settings possible and loads the tone. You can then save it to an empty spot if you really like it.

Just be careful we don't find the frequency that causes us to shit ourselves to death.

It is very cool stuff, though. When we find the frequency to which the supposed "God particle" vibrates with, it will be like discovering the power behind the "force".

An OLD OLD thing that used to be a norm for that thread was: that everyone who posts in that thread should review the two songs above their post. That way, everyone was guaranteed at least two reviews. haha. That hasn't been followed in a long ass time.

Review other peoples songs. They usually return the favor.

Posted: 10/16/09 04:54 PM

Forum: General

New houses don't have chimneys because of the greenhouse effect caused by raw burning wood.

Which is bullshit, because less people cutting down the trees for wood, contributes to the fire hazards in the forests.
Then, the forests burn, and release way more greenhouse gasses... and..

burn.
burn.

BURN. YEAH

Sorry, bit distracted there.. :U

But that is the force fed excuse these days.

Newgrounds possesses some of the best guitarists I've heard in a long time.

Metaljonus and his arpeggios are astounding. All his music kicks ass. He shines with leads. In fact he's pretty ridiculous with them. Here is a link to one:

Of course, Gorebastard and Eternalreich are riffing kings.

I love Kataklysm and some of their slower drudgy riffing, but this year...my favorite riffs come from this song:
