Since you uploaded it before I posted I'll check with Rakshan if he's cool with that.

The worst thing that can happen is that he want it removed, I highly doubt he'd legally pursue the issue (Since he knows me irl).

A question though, how many of these remixpacks are or were from label organized remix sessions?
I'm not sure that label acapellas should be allowed unless the label themself approved it as this is a competition where you actually win something.

Response to: Vocal Pack Remix Contest - Dj-nate Posted April 7th, 2009 in Audio

Just a note to everyone. I just had a word with Rakshan and he doesn't want any remixes of "Rakshan - Electronic Bitch" to be made.

Response to: Help with Filter Distortion Posted April 7th, 2009 in Audio

Lower the Q parameter, it's also called resonance on the other fruity filter. It amplifies the higher end of the filter and will pump the volume of those frequencies up quite abit.

Check the synth in a spectrum with no Q and then add alittle more Q and you will see what I mean

Response to: Vocal Pack Remix Contest - Dj-nate Posted April 6th, 2009 in Audio

Shit, I've always liked "electronic bitch" but I can't join.

I could ask Rakshan if he could donate a couple of remix packs for this next time I see him

I am quite serious. I await my terribly crappy smashup of every Audio god's style on the site to be approved.

then you will feel my wrath and respect my mixing advice

Okay....But what that "advice" boils down to is a mix with no room for anything.

I might have taken the advice abit to literally though but I understood it as you said that EVERYTHING should be -6db

Your submission is cleared btw

Looking through them revealed that alot of those "lower norfair" ones were actually from SUPER Metroid though.

And of course, Super Metroid is my fav Snes game so I've played them all :P

I believe that area is called "Norfair" or "Lower Norfair" But they might have renamed it after the GBA Remake of the game.
Either way it's one of these titles I think.....

NES--------------------------GBA
Norfair--------------------Norfair
Lower Norfair----------Ridley

I was just asking a general question which has nothing to do with music production but rather opinions / thoughts. Therefore I figured the general forum was a better idea.

Tiesto?Van Buuren? Posted March 10th, 2009 in General

Tiesto?Van Buuren?

Okay so um, I've been spoon fed with comments on how awesome they are supposed to be and how great their music is etc.

Being good DJ's I can understand...But their music to me is just bland, slow and boring to me?

Oh and those overly disted sawtooth/square leads/basses makes me lol irl, they both use them.
Armin van buuren - Serenity and Tiesto - Adagio for strings / Elements of life

Someone please explain? I'm curious for valid answers not just "omfg dey roxxz/sux!"

Note to non-producers, MAKING music isn't the same as DJ:ing

There's only a handfull that doesn't work with it. Depends on what kind of synths you want
zomg, inte ofta man ser dig posta...

ANYWAY!

Zomg give me your msn or something then mayn.

I think it usually says on the vst page if it works or not with vista 32/64

From what I've seen myself it usually says something like "XP/x64/Vista" and that exludes the 64 bit version.

and 32 / 64 is no difference when it comes to VST, dude.

all it really does in the end is change what amounts of RAM your OS / applications can handle...

Actually there IS a slight difference in the code on the plugs I can't get working from 32/ 64 bit. It may only be those specific plugs but I'm pretty sure that it'd apply to all. I'd guess the 32 bit dll wont work with the memory managment of the 64bit system.

@ OP

Do what I'm going to do, install XP 64 and your problem is gone. Vista 64 sucks major nutsack and the support for it is terrible (The performance drop from Xp to Vista is incredibly huge aswell).

An example is Izotope Ozone 3:

Xp 32 = Installs and Works
Xp 64 = Installs and Works
Vista 32 = Instals and Works
Vista 64 = Installs but Doesn't work
I've already tried my theory out and it did work for ME on all other systems.

Unless you're going to do like me (upgrade to 8-12 Gb RAM) there really is NO need for you to have a 64bit system installed anyways, not as far as music go. The only bitch is that a 32 bit system only supports up to 4 Gb RAM (whereas 1 Gb is locked for your system so that equals to 3Gb RAM) I guess and a 64 bit system can support a couple of Tb RAM.

I might be wrong though, i'm not a cpu guy but I remember reading something like that so DON'T quote me on that, please tell me if I'm wrong lol

I'm in a hurry atm so if this post is just a big mess for you I'll come back and correct it laters lol

Well I have a similar problem which force me to stop, rewind to the start and then hit play again. I'd figure it's your flash being buggy. do a clean install of flash and you'll likely fix it.
