"Pirates of the Carribean - He's a Pirate (B0UNC3 mess around remix edit) Well, you've waited long enough haha. This is another extremely wannabe track. Nothing much to say except it isn't finished. And as usual anything that isn't done mixingwise is turned off. Things I will fix; Lead melody, Lead sound, Bass sound, Kick EQ, Mixdown and possibly a quick mastering session. Booyah ;D".

Yup, I actually submitted something, even if it's incomplete like everything else lol.

Love copy paste

Response to: How do you reconcile this? Posted July 7th, 2009 in Audio

@Bjra
Balance is key. How is the general frequency response of the track? Or even better, care to let me have a listen to it before I try to help?

@Alc
Filtering everything below 140hz would destroy more than it'd help (and that's even if the problem would be phasing issues). Try lowering the frequency intensity just slightly and see if that helps (1-2db using an EQ).
If that doesn't help you might have hit a problem where the samples you're using just aren't the "right" ones, or the mix has a huge hidden demon that decides to rape the whole track when several instruments are played together.

Last tuesday... XXX.flp tops at 13%cpu on playback. Today that same flp eats up 99% cpu and rapes my sound drivers (Primary and ASIO). I loaded the midis, vst(i)s and samples into cubase and only got 10% cpu usage without freezing anything. Whats going on with my fl?

I haven't installed/deleted/changed/downloaded anything on the computer since then.

Specs on this computer: 2.53ghz C2D, 4gb RAM, Soundblaster audigy 2zs (More than capable of handling anything I throw at it).
If anyone wants to shove me a quick answer do it on msn (it's on my userpage)

Honestly it affects all flp's I have. +1 Cubase

uuhh dude, there isn't anything special to a loop, it's just like any other mp3, just it sounds nice when it's looped. I guess the only special thing to do to a loop is render it with 'Cut Remainder' selected so it links back to the start ok when it is looped.

Also worth noting that "Wrap remainder" will wrap the ending and put it at the start (IE FX etc)

Quick example... tweak the cutoff inside the 3xOsc. It's not a very good sounding supersaw, but it should represent the idea I'm trying to get across.

add a tiny bit of attack for a softer sexier pluck sound.
A lead like robs would be easy to do with sylenth1. Then of course there is nexus....but use that at your own risk.

Absolute lie. If it sounds better, than you're doing something different then in FL.

I had a couple of patterns rendered as wave files. I put the together in both FL and Cubase and exported. There was indeed a difference. The FL export had tons of phase clicks while the cubase export for some reason didn't.

Of course that wouldn't be an audio engine problem, that'd be an exporting issue.

Gayporn + revenue for site admin?

I've been here for a long time and have submitted work of mine for a long time. I'm also very banhappy and take offence everytime someone talks to me. I'm also a complete hazard for new people as I ban them if they ask questions. I'd also lock every topic that doesn't interest me in the slightest.

I'd be good for your bandwidth =) Whatchu say Wadolf?

I wonder how much money Britney Spears earned with her 3 first tracks.

I can't say, I haven't tried Logic, but try FL out and see if you like it. The decision is up to you and what you feel comfortable with. You do the magic, not the program
