Ses is a pretty cool guy when you get to know him actually, just reall misunderstood IMO. I mean, he's a major culture clash with the more conscious new-gen rappers of NG, but comparing him to a paranoid, hateful, mind-blowingly hypocritical asswad like Lejin is... unfair.

Case in point is that Bill dissed both, DJ Ses kinda disses back and trash talks, Lejin makes death threats and gets all his friends involved.

I actually think that's a really good idea.

Also, Rampant's just too fucking lucky living abroad with the accent. Here it's nothing special.

BUT one thing been getting on my tits: We don't all have the same accent. Rampant's Received Pronunciation, usually South or Mid England, well educated, well brought up. Fat Beats is regional Midlands, he's rocking that goittal stop and swagging them light vowel sounds. I haven't any clue what I am. My mum's got RP, my stepdad's Cockney (think Guy Ritchie films) and my dad's a Brummie. I guess if I'm anything I'm Estuary English, dipping in and out of RP.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "BRITISH ACCENT". GO TO CARDIFF, LONDON, BIRMINGHAM AND GLASGOW AND FIND OUT WHAT I MEAN.

OK, OK, my butthurt ranting is over.

Just did a load of research, listened to pretty much all the ROF beef. Skipped straight from that shit to KillBill vs SJD.

Damn it, this year's been ill and with a lot of very new different rappers, but I just realised how little I know about NG rap being such a noob.

Also, the ROF philosophy as Cajete put it is so fucking dead on.

Response to: Clabtrap 2012 Discussion Thread Posted July 1st, 2012 in Audio

@BROKEN DECK

I don't mean you any disrespect when I say it really shows you haven't spent time with clabtrap guys. Please allow me to give you a brief outline for visitors:

1- SJD SHIT TALKS TO EVERYBODY.

He does things all the way, that's just how he rolls and it makes sure people know where they stand but more to the point keeps people interested. You don't the amount of fans he has in a couple months with good ideas.

2- PRETTY MUCH EVERYONE TROLLS EACH OTHER.

But nobody cares anymore. At all. We just appreciate the laughs, and really not even the most offensive shit offends anyone.

3- ANY ATTEMPT AT CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM HOWEVER LEADS TO FLAME WARS.

There's 70-30 chance constructive crit leads to a flame war anyway.

4- WE'RE ACTUALLY GENERALLY NICE, HUMBLE PEOPLE OFF THE FORUMS.

SJD's a pleasure to work with (unless you a faget-ass animator trying to get something for nothing), Fat Beats is just generally a total cool cat, Teqneek has a great work ethic and also great to work with. I say this despite SJD being a total asshat when he started off to all of us and Fat Beats knocking me out the competition. This thread is supposed to be hate filled, it's where we warm up and get psyched for the next contest.

5- WE'RE NOT ALL HOMOPHOBIC, MISOGYNISTIC ULTRA-AGGRESSIVE SIMPLETONS.

I know that's what all you mods seem to think, but really nothing could be further from the truth. I'd like to take the chance to say actually, I've been in four rap battles so far and my sexuality has never been the subject of a serious diss, nor have I ever encountered the homophobia with any guys here that I have IRL.

So with that said, can you mods please stop acting so self-righteously and patronisingly? I know you're just doing your job, but it's pretty lame how you guys are getting more offended then ANYONE IN THIS THREAD.

With due respect etc.

Just wanna point out though: I don't blame the mods, I was pushing boundaries and if Floseph's too much for them to handle that's understandable, they don't use the word "faggot" like we do so hey, maybe they genuinely thought I'm a homophobe. Actually, fuck it, that's still pretty lolsome.

Lol.

One thing I've noticed about the Senator's flow is that it works best on light hearted beats. It murked on Thee Anthem, and also on Swag City.

One thing I'll try to do in the lead up to the finals and third place play off is try to write a beat that would suit the Senator's voice like that (already made a beat more to suit Suddle style dark beats, complete with an Amen break, link related).
