Think of any technology and thought. The human mind created all of those. The brain has a complicated system for storing memories. Even something as small as moving your arm requires a large process of reactions and thoughts simply to move the muscles in other parts of your body.
What about placebos? The brain can make pain and sickness seem like they are getting better simply by willpower.
Think of the complexity of the human brain and you wont underestimate it like that.
