She's even uglier on the inside.
And she has the opinion of idiots.

I've read Al Franken's book which totally smashes Ann Coulter as a lying sack of shit. Her sources are baloney, and she only has a shit-ton of opinions with no basis.

You didn't refute anything I said, and I don't think you understand. How do you propose that gravity can't be a fact and a theory? It is held as such afterall. And as I said before, you definition of theory is much different than that used by the scientific community.

Evolution is a multi-faceted word.

As I said before, the mechanisms of evolution such as natural selection are still being understood and studied, and that is what constitutes the theory of evolution. The fact of evolution is its existence.

When I was reading through the topic I expected Al's faults, if they were going to be pointed out, to be something a little heftier than him flying a private jet or his house taking up electricity. One could argue that the awareness he brings with his movie and campaign has far outweighed the use of a private jet (which could easily be used for meetings revolving about such issues) or the electricity from his house which could easily have been overlooked by someone with such a full schedule.

Kinda nit picky if you ask me. If Al was spotted littering or dumping oil into a sewer, then I'd be a bit surprised. Otherwise, I just see a political attack on his character. :/

SPOILER.

In the original book, the main character is Christian, and the new girl in town is Atheist. That is what made the book so good for me. It really touched upon current event issues (especially with the death) and it had a different dynamic than a Narnia book... Did Hollywood leave the religion piece out of the movie?

I can imagine that some people wouldn't be able to handle it... it's marketed to be a kids movie.

That's what I'm seeing here. Let's hate on Al Gore and completely ignore that pollution has an effect on our environment! Let's keep filling up landholes and letting the industry giants throw smoke in our air because Al flies a private jet! Yay, great.

I applaud Al for bringing about awareness to pollution regardless of "political motivations" associated with it.

First of all, your definition of theory differs than the peer reviewed theory of a scientific community. Read through the above article I linked to for a better understanding of what's going on.

The mechanisms of evolution such as natural selection are still being understood and studied, and that is what constitutes the theory of evolution. The fact of evolution is its existence.

It is much like the theory of gravity. It's understanding to this day is still being understood. But it's existence is very much alive.

I'd also like to add a few things here...
The popularity of the Confederate flag rose tremendously during the 1960's during the Civil Rights movements. Seriously, is that a coincidence or what? The Confederate flag was added to the South Carolina capital in 1962. I'd have been ashamed to be defending it as a historical artifact just to learn it was added in the 60's. Flying the flag was a way for Southerners to show resistance to change and equality. Anti-black, yeah?

I think it really depends on the kind of job you have on whether you go into work when requested in. It also depends on your managers and how chill you are with them. Some managers are understanding that you've already made plans, and others will see that as a reason to dock you in their minds.

I'm in great standing with my managers, so I don't have to worry about any of that crap. If I'm even late by a few minutes for work, my managers would wonder what happened to me. I've got a clean record on everything and I've only called into work maybe twice in the past year and a half, so saying no to them means I've got a good reason not to go into work.

If you're already a lazy ass and you don't want to go into work, then the manager will believe the lazy bum stereotype you've set up for yourself even more so.
