Well fruity loops supports MIDI and the VST
VST's are very helpful and you can ussally find lots of free ones on the web if you look in the right places. In FL studio if you dont have a MIDI piano you can use you pc keyboard but its really lame and [this doesnt apply to everyone else] my keyboard lags by 2-3 seconds.
Ive never used reason so i cant really argue.

And for those who dont know what breakcore is , I will try to describe it the best I can:)

Breakcore is intense,glitchy drum & bass with tid bits of other genres in between. Breakcore can have clips and fx of anything really [ country,R&b,gabber,speedcore,rap,hip hop,dance,pop] ect..
Bpms are ussally fast and crazy [bpm 170-300] . Breakcore is pretty much underground [to my knowledge anyway] . Im not exactly sure how popular it is in the U.S , but in european countrys it seems to be pretty much out there.Even with breakcores intense and insane beats its pretty dancable. For what I know about [CORE] genres in electronica it goes in this order according to bpm] HARDCORE 140bpm, GABBER 170 BPM, BREAKCORE 170 - 300 BPM, SPEEDCORE 400BPM
EXTRATONE 500 BPM and above. IF this doesnt help then just look at wikipedia or something:)
