I am making something on Flash MX that I wish to put onto a DVD, but it doesn't pick up any of the movie clips. Please tell me there is a remedy for this problem, and what it is!

I see your points. But the entire point is to weed out the newer artists from the generalization that those who have not made anything extrodinary yet only make stick animations.
As for the earning recognition thing... well, it becomes harder and harder on NG as people tend to want to put a Legendary Frog Cartoon (Although I most definately love his cartoons) on the front page before someone elses animation, simply because he is Legendary Frog, and he is the greatest. This defeats the purpose of people striving to get noticed on Newgrounds.
This isn't an idea for the "newbie" artist who cannot animate, it is for the "newbie" artist who can't make it to the front page or make it in the top 5 because of bias voting tactics toward artists with a small amount of submissions that have been approved.

Idea!
NG Time Trial is usually avaliable to only established artists on Newgrounds, but what about the newer artists who have yet to get the recongnition they deserve?
My Idea is to do something similar to NG Time Trial, but rather with more "newbie" artists opposed to the higher ranked ones, such as Mr. Luis (Not that I don't enjoy his animations).
What do you think about this idea?

This may come as an insult, but believe me, it isn't.
I used to come on the BBS server looking for the same help too, it won't work. People who can animate don't want other people to do their cartoons, and those who can't want cartoons that are impossible and superb to the very last detail.
Just think of an original plot, something simple, slightly humorous, or even serious. But have fun with it. It's your imagination that your portraying to people, nobody elses.

Hello Newgroundians, I am the creator of the Lord of The Game series. Nothing that I should be too proud of (click my profile to check out my crappy sprite movies) but, I'd like to ask whether or not it is considered theivery (in the Newgrounds server) to do a special edition of my first few episodes, like Legendary Frog has done. If you took the time to check out the episodes, you can clearly see the earlier ones lack something my later episodes have. Please tell me if it would be looked down upon to make a Special Edition Lord of The Game episode 1 through 3. Thanks.

Ready for a HUGE long shot? Okay...
I want to install a basic RPG battle into something I'm making.
Nothing too big. First off, I need to know how to give a command a certain strength value, such as, Attack has a value of 5 and "Super-Duper Slash" has an attack value 10, however, Super-Duper Slash requires a certain value to be equal to or greater than an "MP" value. How would I make this? Also, how would I create health? After if the health value is less than or equal to 0, a change of scenes. Also, how could you make it so that a certain command triggers a character to perform an animation, such as, "Step Foward - Slash - Turn Around". So basically, I want to know...

1) How to apply character and enemy HP.
2) How to give a character MP.
3) How to construct commands that carry out an animation and then lower an enemy HP and/or the Users MP.
4) How to give strength values to certain attacks.

Any or all would be of much help thank you :).

I've got a question...
I understand how to make a movie clip (Character) move
with the use of the up, down, left, right keys. But how would
you make it, that -
1) The character flips horizontal to go left if it is facing right
2) The character has a set motion, such as LEFT FOOT, RIGHT FOOT, but only occuring when it begins to move.
If you have an answer it'd be greatly appreciated.

None of this would happen if we were smarter... We disarm them, and leave. Reconstruction is their own problem, not ours. Well, I, as many, am part of and organized religion. I don't believe it is so much bad to be organized, infact, quite the contrary, being organized as a people is never bad. However... I think our world would be much less hateful, and much less of a religious owned place if everyone would shut the hell up and keep their religions to themselves, after all, almost ALL teachings say that ones own religious strength is for oneself. Keep your fucking religion to yourself and avoid problems.

America is suffering from people like you who do not think rationally. Think for one moment, what it must be like to be overweight, trapped within a cage with food lingering all around. There isn't one religion that believes another religion are the chosen people. Each religion has the right to believe they are chosen, and for all we know we could all be wrong.

Well they ARE an independant nation? Why should they follow our laws? It's best they don't, otherwise we'd lose them as an ally, and although their land is only the size of New Jersey, their military to rein supreme to a majority of opposing Arab nations of the United States as of now. But to a degree, Israel DOES follow our laws, and they allow freedom of speech, freedom to vote, as well as freedom of religion which are three basic fundamentals of the United States government. People believe they do not allow freedom of religion, which is untrue, they do not allow religious extremists, not that any democratic country does, but their are a lot of Islamic, as well as Christian citizens of Israel that are free to do whatever they may.

Second off, why are you blaming the Jews? It isn't like a person follows actions because of their religion unless they are extremists. And vandalizing is NOT extremism. Hell, give credit to the Jewish people, if not for them, we sure as hell wouldn't have Atomic Bombs, which is something that brings a feeling of national security to the United States. (Albert Einstien was indeed Jewish).

To enclose, Israel is an independant nation that can do whatever they want, we have no say over how their government is ruled, even though they take valuable advice from us, when they believe it to be benifitial. And don't blame a religion for a single man's folly. Blame the person, whom was suaded by his own desires, not the desires of his religion.

Well this is a subject I've looked over, SEVERAL times.
I am not going to sit here and say I enjoy the clocks, nor can I say I hate them. Some, but SOME and ONLY SOME, of their movies are of good quality. HOWEVER, a lot of their "movie's" should not even be allowed to earn the title of a movie. I think we'd be much better if the clock-haters would just watch the movies for the sake of watching it and the clocks would just shut the hell up and stop being pampas assholes... Enclosing, if you feel resentment towards clocks, then vote 0 and have fun doing it, and if you like clocks, then vote 5 and live with the burden that you are dismembering the bandwidth of our site. Neither clock or clock-haters should be ban, we are allowed to express ourselves however we live, whether it is drawing a stupid strawberry with a clock for a face, or it is drawing a stupid strawberry with a clock for a face with a knife in it, do whatever they hell you want.
