This is a kind of obscure story, but man this is some funny stuff. You need to check it out for yourself, but the short version is a fundamentalist christian named Dan Lirette had an affair with a student of his ministry. The girl, Myah Walker got pregnant, and the trio had some brief internet notoriety after the baby was born retarded.

So, anyhow, the website Encyclopedia Dramatica made an article about Dan and what they dubbed his "zombaby". Dan saw the article, flipped out, and threatened the site owner's. What followed was a multi-site forum battle involving lots of drama and word slinging and hilarious videos. The whole thing ended in what is some of the most epic pwnage I've ever seen.

You can check out the story right here and enjoy it for yourself. I laughed my ass off, and wanted to share the love. Enjoy, NG.

That's cool. This thread is actually the first time I've really heard much about straight edge, but I dig it. It's about people choosing not to fuck themselves up, not because some religion told them to or anything else, but because they choose not to. I spent years doing and selling drugs. Some things I don't regret, but plenty of things I do.

I did drugs to rebel, and now people are rebelling by not doing drugs. How the world turns. Whatever, I might not like the music you guys listen to, but I still have a lot of respect.

Forum: Where is / How to?

I'm having trouble right now changing my forum signature, and am hoping someone here has had a similar issue and can help.

I have loaded the new file several times, and though NG says the file is uploaded, it doesn't appear on posts. At first I thought that my .gif converter might have been corrupted, so i saved the image as a .jpg and converted it with a different program.

After clearing my cache and re-uploading several times, I am at a loss. I waited about an hour to see if maybe the servers hadn't updated it yet, but no love there either. Any ideas what the problem might be?

I've only taken them while in severe pain, so I don't really know what they're supposed to do for relaxation. However, I'm getting a head ache a few minutes after taking them. About 15 after actually, and I'm not sure if that's natural. Luckily the vicodin is hitting right as I type this, so the headache is being numbed a bit haha. Do you guys ever get headaches on tramadol?

Headache is listed as a normal side effect of Tramadol, though if your experiencing it regularly it may be a side of a low grade reaction. I've never taken it, but I've heard a number of stories from people who had bad side effects from opiate supplements, especially those who had used opiates or other strong painkillers regularly in the past.

If you are using the drug because of an injury or chronic pain, it's probably nothing to worry about if you talk to your doctor. If the headaches continue for regular use, it's probably not a good idea not to use it in recreational doses. Weird shit happens with synthetics.

totally agree. like most controversial issues, the people doing the most arguing and deciding are the ones least qualified to make a reasonable judgment.

The plight of the seals doesn't mean much to me, at least no more than any other species. Personally, yeah, I find them cute and all and I wouldn't want to club one to death. But if there are people out there who feel passionately about their right to club seals, i say regulate as best you can and club away.

If you ban it altogether, I think it'd be a bigger problem and even less humane than setting down reasonable guidelines and trying to enforce them.

In any case, I don't think the teacher's point was appropriate.

Although I believe that we must separate religion and state in schools, I also believe that there are topics where you can't avoid talking about God or religion.

i feel that discussing god/religion in a classroom setting in an intelligent academic sense is a very different thing from promoting a religion. A guy getting up and giving a sermon about how great God is and how he will save your eternal soul does not leave any room open for discussion or logic.

I think that the crux of the separation of church and state is what capacity church comes in. If a philosophy class mentions God and discusses people's views and opinions about him, I don't think that is nearly as direct as a mandatory school-wide prayer to start the day.

I don't feel that schools should banish all talk of God or religion, just that you shouldn't be forced to believe one thing or another.

As long as your shot glasses are fairly thick, you should be okay. I use an electric stove-top when i make it, and it always works pretty well for me. If you are using a gas burner, I'd recommend that you measure the oil out with the shot glass, and then pour it into the smallest pot/pan you have available.

I made it once in my buddy's dorm room over a propane gas burner in a small pot called a butter clarifier, and to be honest that actually worked better than in the shot glass.

As to how long you heat it, that varies. I'd say that over medium-high heat about 5 minutes does it. You'll be able to tell it's done when you can dip a tea spoon in it and the oil comes out dark and reeking of pot.

I like to strain the material out of the oil because it is f-in nasty to swallow when it's chunky, but the guy who i learned it from swears by chewing the oily grinds. I think he was just screwin with me on that one tho. Hope this helps, and have fun!

so... your posting FOR seal hunting? well, on the whole I can't totally disagree. As long as the hunting is controlled well enough that we don't hunt yet another species into needless extinction, who am i to judge?
On the flip side of that, I will say that with today's technology, the only thing that we can get from a seal that can't be made in a lab is their skin, and the last time i checked seal skin isn't exactly the rage of fashion.
I'd say that the only people in the world who are passionately for seal clubbing is the very small group of people who harvest the seals for money, so really what we're saying is that it's okay for one small populace to exterminate another small populace simply because they are smart enough to swing a club. I suppose that's what makes us human so... why not.
