CypressDahlia that looks really cool, your other doodle was fine. Both are going in :)
Art-Is-Truth Not that i don't like your piece, but what exactly did you draw in it? I know the background is stock and the image looks like it might have just been traced or something and reflected. Just want to know what all you actually drew before i let it go ;)
I drawed myself, I used my Mac webcam with the reflection filter, I then placed it on photoshop and I tried to make it into a caricature, I got inspired by one of Gnarls Barkley clip with a bunch of ink blots (used for psychoanalyse), I then tried to make it look grunge with the ink drops and shatters over it.

HERE'S ... a nail. Anyone here still use argentic films with their reflex's?
Very nice ambiance, the caracther gives out much information about the type of music this album covers. but you have some problems with the proportions in your image, some objects are way too big or too small.
Your parental advisory sig is too big, you need to scale it down if you want to use it, thoses sigs are easily capted by the eyes, though, much images are read in a ''z'' fashion, so if you want to add more emphasis on it, I reccomend you putting it (smaller) in the right lower corner.
I like the levels used in the picture, though, your background is sometimes penetrating the caracther in the first plan, you need to ''play'' with the levels of your background so you give a better emphasis on the main object. Mainly because it creates confusions at some points in the image, you can't clearly see where the caracther is ending and the background is starting.
I really like your use of the rule of thirds, the sideways plans are very nice as they convey a lot of dramatism in your picture, this is a very strong point of it, the typography in the upper left corner is not taking enough place though, the resolution of it is ''so-so'', because you have a very clear and vivid image in the front plan, so everything else needs to folow that resolution, try using an image with at least 150ppi (pixels per inch) or higher for your typo.
also try to scale it up a bit, I also reccomend placing it to the left, as images are mainly read in a ''z'' fashion in north america, that way the first thing the ''costumer'' will see is the title which is very important for an artist.
I like it, just need some more study and work on it,
Hope it helps.
Max.
here's an autoportrait,

It's all perspective work, Imagine that in this picture there are four objects in different ''space'' in the picture, the hand first plan, the chest and body scond, the leg third, and the foot fourth.
Then proportionaly decrease the size of the ''objects'' as you draw, the posistion of the floor is also very important to have a good idea of the perspective.
