I believe that means because you are very low on memory/RAM, firefox didn't load some stuff, so it was capable of loading.

While you may have had bad experiences with the iPod line, I highly recommend getting an iPod Touch, it has a ton of apps/games (over 50,000), and if you don't mind waiting, in September a new model will come out with even better features. Plus, if/when you jailbreak it, it is just incredible.
