The lowest I ever gone without facing any problem with the cursor is 640x480. A lot of recent games I think if I played them I would have to bump the resolution higher just so I can Actually read any of the text without hurting my eyes like rising it off to 1024x768

I've played a few Game Gear titles out side of the sonic games ,They were a little less interesting than the stuff released for the gameboy.
