Actually, they can't survive 1,000 rads for more than a few seconds. Flour beetles are actually the most durable, able to survive 100,000 rads for quite a while, up to an hour, with little to no lasting effects.

I have it. I love using the Incendiary Cannon as Pyro on 2Fort. Also, the Grappling Hook is pretty good. I grapple to the highest point on Well as Sniper and just kill 'em all. However, I don't like how dark some areas are, I should be able to tell where I am.

I believe in the Big Bang theory, with a little modification. There are no known ingredients for matter/energy, so I propose a whole bunch of nothing just got concentrated and formed a proto-atom that was very dense, and it wasn't very stable, so it quickly decayed into lesser components.
