I was trying to make a self portrait, but then it turned out into something else.

now that you've mentioned it, his right arm does looks short. anyway I like challenging myself to some crazy perspective, coz I'm not very good at those, so need to practice. I'll probably make another pic of this char with another angel and maybe, if I don't get lazy, i'll put some colors and bg.

this has some very creepy proportions and the perspective is just so damn horrible, by the way, I have no idea what tilt you guys are talking about, coz i think evrything is tilt really crappy in this pic.

In my own honest opinion, I'd have to disagree with the majority. Ahem, it looks very generic. Everything about it is generic. I see no unique qualities as anime like this doesn't require much. The shading looks absolutely dreadful. I can't seem to pinpoint where your lighting is. It doesn't make much sense. The colors are also quite strange. They don't seem to compliment each other if you know what I mean, try making the color scheme "tune in" with the character you're portraying. And changing the color scheme to a warmer tone is also important. Otherwise it wouldn't look so well. And that hair, it looks barren. Lifeless even. Try to shade in your strands and make the highlights less brighter. You're over lighting it. There's also something odd about that skirt of hers. If you look closely, it looks like her zipper is open. (lol perv) What's up with that? But I have to say, the thing that disturbs me the most is that dreadful background. I mean it looks as if you just pasted it there and call it done. I just feel something wrong about it.

I finally reach my conclusion. After evaluating your pic I'd have to say that it looks worse. That is the question you were trying to find answers for. But it's all fine, no artist became skilled in one sitting. It takes practice and determination to improve, and also the help of friends is quite important. That is my evaluation.

at last! someone pro who notice my shit. I've got to admit that this looks like crap, and i don't like the colours either, but hey bro, this is my 1st time on drawing, I've never tried it b4. so basicly, what I'm saying is that I'm just a newbie at the moment, I've got to start at something crappy man, then learn from it. how many people here you see, that upload something good from the start anyway, NONE!!! most of them are just some creepy sketch and proportion. as for the bg, it's just a simple pattern, nothing more.

yes this is done in photoshop. I started with a rough sketch, then do the line art, and a lots of layer for the coloring.
