Response to: What if no more video games? Posted April 5th, 2012 in Video Games

Eh to be honest life wouldn't be all that different for me. I play a lot of video games, to the point where most people think it's unhealthy but I still manage to work out, spend time with my family, go out with my friends and etc. I would be very bored while I tried to think of something else to fill up my time but eventually I would get used to it.

He isn't really on the American or the British side. I think he does tend to help the Americans more but for the most part he's just working both sides for his agenda.

Actually if you look closely at Connor's left hand in the picture where he's killing the Red Coat (aka the game cover) you do see a hidden blade, I just think they wanted to focus more on the use of the tomahawk.

I loved the trailer though I also don't think that it was as good as the one for Revelations though I am sure more will come out. The tree jumping is making me wet my pants and they better offer more for that pre-order than just the metal box.

December 31st sorry, but yes the MMO has been officially canceled.

If it happens its going to be made by Bethesda since they own all the rights to Fallout. InterPlay only has the right to sell Fallout: Tactics and Fallout 2 products up until December 13th of this year I believe, then those become property of Bethesda as well.

Response to: fallout new vegas ultimate edition Posted March 3rd, 2012 in Video Games

They're making a Fallout MMO though. I just hope they make it in D.C. rather than Vegas.

Actually Bethesda got the rights for a Fallout MMO given abck to them and since they never wanted one to begin with, its not going to happen. I'm personally pretty pissed about that.

Because you could totally relate to the young, charming, athletic, ASSASSIN that is Ezio from ACII.
At least he had a personality back then. In Brotherhood and Revelations he's too perfect, every one of is actions is flawless and matter-of-fact, and he never has as interesting a reason to do any of his Assassinations. It's just yadda yadda, conspiracy, go kill this military general or whatever, and throughout the game you just do all your missions without really bothering to think about it.
In Assassin's Creed 2 he was young, reckless, and occasionally foolish, like an actual person. You had a reason to kill your targets because you were avenging Ezio's family and continuing his father's work. The protagonist of a story can't be perfect, because they have to have learned something by the end of the story, and writing them otherwise is lazy. In Assassin's Creed 2, Ezio matures and gains skill as he grows into a Master Assassin, and that's why he was interesting. In Brotherhood and Revelations he never really changes or learns anything and is therefore boring as hell.

It's like Iron Man and Superman. Superman is cool and all, but he's not actually an interesting person because he's so pristine. Iron Man, on the other hand, is realistic because he's an alcoholic egotist, and that's why he's so much more entertaining.

Sorry about the rant, for like the past 3 days I've been trying to figure out why I liked AC2 so much more than the others so i'm a bit passionate on the topic right now.

I can see where you're coming from but I have to disagree. I will admit that I also prefer the younger, reckless, and more charismatic Ezio but as you said he grew and matured, you can't expect him to be a sixty-two year old man whose been fighting for the majority of his life who's openly admitted he hates the fighting, and having him go around being the happy go lucky-ish young adult he was. Now I am talking mostly about Revelations but he wasn't all perfect, through out the game his age did take a toll on him occasionally, of course not always because he was obviously a healthy and atheltic man but he often stated that he was no longer at the top of his game (though the gameplay said otherwise). As for his story no longer being interesting, what more could they do about it? He avenged his family, discovered something bigger than himself, he wanted answers, and he found them.

Here's the last picture, buddy.
I've only played (and completed) Assassin's Creed II. I'm not gonna bother with Brotherhood or Revelations, but III looks pretty amazing so far. When I saw the box art of Connor (I'd rather he be called something different - Altair, Ezio and... Connor. Doesn't really seem as memorable and unique)

Just a quick comment on the name thing. Kind of makes sense if you think about it, though AC does feature the occasional real historical figures and some real historical events, accuracy has never been its strong suit, names during those times tended to be more "normal."

Asura's Wrath. Posted March 2nd, 2012 in Video Games

For anyone who has played this game, whats your opinion on it? I loved what I saw in trailers and I was pretty excited about it even before it was released, and reading majorly positive reviews after it was release only pushed me further to buying it. I personally think that it was worth every penny and enjoyed it greatly but somethings did irk me. Mostly it was the lack of overall gameplay, there were more cut scenes than actual gameplay so I'd get into the "Yeah I wanna kill shit!" zone for three or five minutes and then all of a sudden there's a long cut scene or action sequence. The only other complaint I had was that the story line was a bit cliche but I still liked it. Other than that I don't regret buying it though I will contemplate selling it.

What the fuck? Did the two games making up the later two-thirds of Ezio's life just not mean anything? Reminds of the GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA 4 deal. It doesn't make any fucking sense.

The developers have stated that any new AC game that has a number in the title will be the start of a new protagonist. So it went Altair then Ezio, Revelations was basically ending Ezio's story and tying up any loose ends and answering any questions fans had.

From what IrishGun has posted I'm pretty happy with what I've seen so far. I've been doing a lot of my own research and have been seeing a lot of good news for the most part, for example, I'm happy that Den Defenses are gone. Those things were bullshit and were my main complaint, they started off easy and increased in difficulty in a fair manner but then all of a sudden nothing I did fucking worked so I just let them win and took it back right after.

Response to: Assassins Creed 3 leak Posted March 1st, 2012 in Video Games

It has been confirmed and it will take place during the American Revolution and I personally think that the game will be amazing. For people who say that its coming out too early (aka a year after Revelations) the reason for this is because the game has been in development for about three years and on top of that a lot of the story revolves around the supposed end of the world in 2012 and the Ubisoft didn't see the sense in putting out a game for an event that has already passed. For the people who say it will be the same shit, all I have to say is that there's no reason to fix something that isn't broken. Should they add something new every game of course, and they have but if you don't like the game just don't buy it though you are entitled to your opinion.

Response to: Worst Movie Ever?! Posted February 29th, 2012 in General

Avatar was easily one of the worst movies of all time. Nothing but loads of visual eye candy to make idiots think that they got their moneys worth. So yes visually it was great but story wise, all they did was take Dances with Wolves and combined it with Pocahontas and turned it into so fake sci-fi bullshit.

It hasn't been out for very long the 3DS did pretty fucking terrible starting out. I'll probably buy a Vita when prices drop but other than price the only thing that bothers me is that I'm worried it will be the PSP all over again. As far as size goes its not that big of a deal to me, there's no immediate reason for me to have it in my pocket because if I'm out some where (not traveling) there really isn't much of a reason to have it on me. Now what I mean by the PSP all over again is that when the PSP first came out it was a target for hackers out of its ass, so hopefully Sony has some kind of counter measure (doubt it).

Yes I have seen it and I agree with you, the part when they are all in the boot camp is fucking hilarious. A lot of people have argued with me that it was a terrible war movie because it wasn't accurate and they are wrong. The first half though funny is accurate. Back then they were allowed to hit you, humiliate you, and basically do anything possible to make you feel like the scum of the earth and that caused a lot of mental stress on the recruits (hence Private Pyle). And the rest when they're in Vietnam I really don't have to argue for, it was hard, depressing, insane, and just terrible. Over all though amazing movie.

Response to: Feminism is a joke. Posted August 3rd, 2011 in General

Of course Feminism is a joke. In the debate club at me school (I love pissing people off) a girl brought up the subject of the double standard of "If a man sleeps with a lot of women hes a macho stud man but if a woman sleeps with a lot of me shes a slut and that is unfair" so I brought up a quote from the Jim Jefferies special I Swear to God in this special he said "Every single time a man sleeps with a lot of women hes called a stud but if a woman sleeps with a lot of men shes called a slut. And people think this is unfair. No. It's completely fair and i'll tell you why alright. Its fuckin easy to be a slut, its fuckin hard to be a stud. To be a stud you have to be witty, charming, well dressed, have nice shoes and a fake job...to be a slut you just have to be there. There are fat ugly sluts out there...there are no fat ugly studs. I have met slutty dwarves, I've never met a stud dwarf." So basically he is saying that men have to work hard to be studs. She further proved my point by saying "Well men have to dress and be nice, women don't want fat slobs with no jobs" and so I replied "So women can complain about 'Oh I feel like I have to always watch my appearance around him I wish I could just let loose and not have to worry about how I look' and blah blah blah but if a man doesn't look like the deal dream boy then theres a problem?" and that shut the bitch up. Then they say that they want equal rights, I am all for equal rights for women but here's what pisses me off THEY STILL WANT SPECIAL FUCKING TREATMENT! If I'm a father and I have an 18 year old son who punches me in the face and I punch him back then that's assault but if I have an 18 year old daughter who punches me in the face then its abuse.

I fucking love that guy! I had known about him for a while and never have I not been entertained. My favorite would have to be when a church is asking for donations like a Projector and all of this stuff and he offers all of this expensive equipment and makes the person think hes donating it, then tells them he expects them to pay, and if I remember correctly even said he was going to ask for it back.
