Response to: What do you play? Posted September 28th, 2006 in Audio

I played the piano for around a year when I was 8. Now I'm 17 and I play nothing.

Response to: G-rave gone? Posted September 24th, 2006 in Audio

So... what did you do that got your account deleted?

It's on the previous page.

Response to: Which program is the best?! Posted September 22nd, 2006 in Audio

I suppose Ejay is good if you have never made a track beofre in your life. It shows you the basics of a track and how they're put to gether.

Well actually, the old eJay programs are the ones that had barely any options. My brother uses one of the newer ones, Dance 7, and it actually offers some decent things to make synths and stuff. I still think FL is better though.

Response to: For the love of god! I Need Quotes! Posted September 22nd, 2006 in Audio

So, out of curiousity, how do you get a record deal? Hope that's not too nooby of a question, I seriously know nothing about it.

Response to: Which program is the best?! Posted September 22nd, 2006 in Audio

FL and Reason are both good. There really is no best, it depends on your preferences and skills with the particular program. The problem with eJay is it focuses too much on presets, which is why many people call it noob.

omg anth0n favorite artist EVA!!1

Appreciate the compliment! (Wafflesman is not my alt)

Anyways, seems like you guys are responding to this topic, so I guess I'll mention what I've learned. That is, despite the fact that certain people will not be happy about me revealing what happened.

Apparently (this will sound silly), g-rave found a way to infinitely vote 5 on his songs. He used a program that masks IP addresses to do so. Normally, Newgrounds still prevents infinite voting by recognizing the TLD (Top Level Domain) of the user. By stopping the page before it completely loaded, g-rave was able to bypass the TLD screening. He was caught and his account was deleted. Either that or his account was blacklisted, and he decided to delete it himself.

Response to: G-rave gone? Posted September 20th, 2006 in Audio

Sorry for the double post, but please disregard this topic. I don't want to be getting flamed or anything for bringing up dumb questions.

G-rave gone? Posted September 20th, 2006 in Audio

Yeah so I was hangin around the AP when I thought "I should listen to g-rave's new song that he submitted yesterday." But apparently, his account no longer exists. Anyone know anything about this?

Response to: AP days of laziness Posted September 20th, 2006 in Audio

Hm, I'm not in college yet, but I'm busy working on college apps, as well as keeping my grades up. So I guess that's the deal with me.

Response to: So how did you get started? Posted September 20th, 2006 in Audio

When I was around 8 years old, I began piano lessons. I stopped after about a year because I thought it was boring. But perhaps that was what helped me build a basic foundation in the field of music.

Then, at around 11 or 12 years old, my dad showed me some information about a program called Techno eJay. I was interested and bought it. I started making music by putting a bunch of preset samples together, since back then eJay had almost no options for making custom samples.

A couple years later I purchased Techno Ejay 4, which came with more features for making custom samples, but the presets weren't that great for my style, so that encouraged me to use the provided tools to make my own samples. Unfortunately, the first song I made without any presets, called "Better," no longer exists in any form. To accomodate for the lack of professionality that the program offered, I made some tunes that didn't have much mastering, but the melodies were pretty catchy, and that was the beginning of building up my current style.

I didn't get FL till late 2005, and didn't use it much at all until early 2006, with which I attempted 4 different songs, all of which were turning out badly and were never finished. Then I made an absolutely amazing (for the time) song called "Inside the Madness." My friends thought it was really cool too so I submitted it to Newgrounds, and the rest is history.

Check out some knightly action in Crusader Carnage (but really, this is a techno song that doesn't sound knightly at all, just cool).

Also, if audio cannot be blammed, how can it get turd of the week? That means it would just go to a song with a 0 in score. Unless there's an idea that I missed which involves blamming of audio submissions.

But not all turd of the weeks are bad. This one I believe is quite funny.

Response to: Changing the Audio Rating system! Posted September 14th, 2006 in Audio

Yeah, but how do you record audio? And how can i make my own songs that sound really cool, and people will think I'm cool? I want about 2000 + loops that I can tweak to perfection and ways of distributing it through global markets. Also, the loops should be cool. Not necessarily cooler than the red dress though.

Lolz.

Response to: The Audio Forum Lounge Posted September 14th, 2006 in Audio

well gone are the days of submitting 6 songs in a single day and getting them all up on that thing hehehe...

Man that would be awesome. Imagine the downloads!

I would think that'd be less clear than speaking directly.

Actually, the only difference is maybe the volume is slightly lower. Which means all you have to do is speak louder. And you can speak pretty much as loud as you want without a PUH. Give it a try.

Avoiding the "PUH"s is pretty simple with any microphone. Instead of speaking directly into the mic, just speak into it sideways so that your breath goes perpendicular past the input of the mic.

Congrats to Arbiter for first place, mine's #11 but I'm still proud of it since my submission really had nothing to do with TANKMEN.

Can't wait to hear the show, even if it's only a recording. Shouldntve missed the live one :(

To anyone who knows PHP... Posted September 9th, 2006 in Audio

I'm in the process of having an audio-related website made (details will be revealed when it's finished), and I need a PHP programmer to help fix some bugs. The reason I posted in the audio forum is because the website in development is, like I said, audio-related. Of course, if you decide to help, you get administrator privileges to the site and the details of the site revealed to you early. When the site is done, it should be pretty cool. So, anyone up for it?

Response to: songs! Posted August 26th, 2006 in Audio

Cyclone Escape = battle music. Yay for whoring myself!

Response to: Project Merick: Theme Tune Posted August 26th, 2006 in Audio

I can modify this song for your needs, if it's suitable. If you want to use it, pick a part that you like and I'll make it just that part, because I understand the full song is kinda long for an intro.

Response to: Icecream Mayhem-audio Artist Needed Posted August 26th, 2006 in Audio

I'll give it a shot :)

Response to: Mac6 - August Posted August 20th, 2006 in Audio

Actually, if you need a song for fast-paced action, I have a better one. I posted down an old song already but maybe you could consider this one instead. Cyclone Escape

Cyclone Escape
Battery Power
Special Forces
March of the Cyborgs

There's some songs.

Response to: Mac6 - August Posted August 19th, 2006 in Audio

Do the tankmen have Battery Power? Because that's my August submission.

Response to: Audio Advertisements! Posted August 19th, 2006 in Audio

New song! A collab between me and Natedog103. Click HERE to listen to some Battery Power.

Response to: How do you create melodies? Posted August 19th, 2006 in Audio

Remember, melodies don't have to be complex to be good. Simple melodies can be really good, too.

Response to: Mac6 - August Posted August 16th, 2006 in Audio

I have a pretty good marching song that I'd like to enter in: March of the Cyborgs , OLD

But think of it as March of the Tankmen :)
