I hear that reason is a good program. But it's pretty difficult to learn, supposedly.

ex. SkyMarshall style?

Step one is just to find people interested in singing. Step two is to give the possible participants a small sample and see who comes up with the best style/lyrics to the given sample.

Off topic much? He was just trying to help, even though it wasn't helping.

Yeah lol I'm just messing around. May as well lock this thread, I'm not expecting anyone to actually be interested in what I posted.

I'm not noob enough to post in an incorrect thread. The only thing I was close to was your mom and trust me, she wasn't voice acting.

I like the FL Core idea, but it would be nice if WASP was included in the possible components. Maybe XXL Edition instead of Producer Edition?

Looking for Vocalist Posted June 13th, 2008 in Audio

Hey, I'm look for someone with a decent-quality microphone and voice who is willing to collaborate on some music by providing vocals. The tracks that require recording over are made by me and fall under the techno genre, so they're somewhat dance-oriented. Which means I'm not looking for slow and emotional ballad-type singing. If you think you're suitable for the task, post a response or PM me a message saying that you're interested. Then I'll PM you later with some more details.

If successfully implemented, the vocals will make the current songs exponentially better. And of course, the resulting song will be equally owned by each of us.

Well in that case I'd like to be taken off the list of competitors.

3xOsc, Sampler, BooBass, Beepmap, Plucked, Fruit Kick, Chrome ,FPC, WaveTraveller, Dashboard, KB Controller, Fruity Vibrator, Midi Out, FL Slayer, FL Keys, Granuliser, and Slicex are all the things you can use. No Wasp. :P

But WASP totally comes with the program. If I can't use it then guess my submission is invalid.

New song is in my sig. It's a cross between uniform techno with a hard beat (my old style) and the freeform style of fast-paced trance.

I checked out your song Chron, it's pretty awesome :)

WASP = leet. Easy to manipulate and goes with my musical style.

Headphones are best to use for keeping sounds balanced, since the sounds won't change across computers and you can usually hear certain sounds more distinctly with headphones than you can with speakers. I use headphones all the time, for those reasons.

But yeah, it sucks and nothing except amplitude and pan can be automated.

The drum machine is pretty good though. And the program comes with a lot of percussion samples. Gotta give it some credit for that.

Now it's like 2100. They have increased the score, before it was 1600.

Actually, it's out of 2400. Used to be just 800 points in math and 800 in critical reading, now there's an 800 point writing section. The writing section includes multiple choice questions regarding grammar, usage, mechanics, and spelling. It also includes one essay that you get 25 minutes to write, and it's really lame because it's graded totally differently from an essay you would write in class. There is a big correlation between essay length and essay score. I didn't take the ACT but my SAT scores were:

Math: 800
Critical Reading: 690
Writing: 720

Total: 2210/2400
Counting just math and reading like the old SAT: 1490/1600

Colleges in the US that require SAT scores pretty much don't care about the writing section and usually just look at the other two sections.

Response to: E-jay Posted March 24th, 2008 in Audio

Yeah, it's changed quite a bit. I used to use it when I was like 11 and just dragged and dropped some presets, but nowadays it actually has some generators that you make your own sounds with. There's plenty of presets in the newer versions but they also focus way more on making your own samples than the older ones did. People who bash the program are not aware of these changes. But of course, FL Studio (depending on the version you get) and Reason have more advanced features that eJay doesn't.

Here's someone on the audio portal who uses eJay: Haxxy

Try increasing the bitrate to maximum when you export. The filesize will be larger but the quality will be better.
