DAAAAAAAAAJJJJ! my part will be sent on friday FOR SURE. TWH has granted me use of his computer, and i will send it on friday Dec. 29! WHOOOOOOOO.

in related news, i tried to split the movie into two parts to send to you. the original fla was 43 something MB, and the two halves were each 40 MB! how does that work? so i went into the one half and removed a bunch of symbols and stuff that were taking up space. can anyone tell me how REMOVING stuff from an .fla INCREASES THE FILESIZE? after removing all the symbols and the music from part 1, the filesize went up by 50 KB! AAAAAAA, MY HEAD ASPLODE.

dude, your picture has to be self-contained. make it so nothng goes off the edges of the screen except the mountain. also, make the sky white.

ok, sprites are basically the different positions that a character could be in during a 2d veideo game, and all the animation frames from that game. so if you had a sprite sheet for a walking sequence, you would have a series of pictures that when strung together would make a walking animation. sprite sheets really aren't worth the trouble.

GET an idea of what you want to do. it's bad enough when people show up asking "i have the best idea ever, but don't know how to code it!" it's even WORSE when they show up and have neither code skills or even an idea! play with flash for a while, read some tutorials at flashkit and call back later.

most of the people on newgrounds make their flash movies in their spare time. the more ambitious animators like Adam Phillips use flash full time and try to sell their work or have it aired publicly for money.

simple! set the sync to "stream" in the properties panel, and then the sound will stop wherever the frames with the sound in them stop.

jeez... turn on script assist and choose global functions-timeline control-goto. it will automatically choose "gotoAndPlay" for you, and all you have to do is choose what frame to go to! why don't people ever use script assist, so handily placed there for their assistance?
