Be prepared to shell out the dough. My dad is a D.O., and it took him I think 8 years and $200,000 to get through all of his schooling, then another 3 years of residency. If you go about your life without having 12 children to feed and nurture, you can pay that $200,000 in a few years.

If you REALLY want to, and are willing to die for the cause, by all means, get into medical school. I hear that almost anything that has to do with the medical field is 'recession proof'.

Fill your delivery truck to the brim with explosives (make sure it's inconspicuous), find and follow the vehicle the person is driving, pull up next to him when he parks to see if he really is the person you are finding, then hit the trigger. Gets the job done, and then some, but you won't be coming back.

Normally my backyard is dry all year, but look what happened! Quite abnormal for Texas. And because of that, it busted our water main. The next day, there was a HUGE puddle in the front yard, so we quick shut off the valve the second we saw the mess.

The city is gonna pay for it, but they won't be here for another week, so there will be no water until they fix it.

Snow :D

I would think that there would by more activity around NG, seeing that Texas is closing some schools today because of winter weather. I mean come on... There's 3 inches of snow, and someone decided that school should be closed in my town (took a drive today, the roads weren't that bad).

Or maybe people are actually outside enjoying the snow?

Why is NG so slow today?

Wow, that's a lot to think about. My brother has sort of the same problem, because our school doesn't have bike racks. He locks his bike up on one of those steel posts in the parking lot, just to find his bike wedged up in the grilles of those seal mutilating battleship trucks.

Now he parks elsewhere, and he had to use duct tape to fix both his brake levers and reflectors.

Why do some people look at tiny, economical vehicles with contempt? They wouldn't hurt a seal...

Kirby the vacuum cleaner? Well I have a REAL Kirby vacuum, and I must say I'm not pleased with the price/performance ratio. Sure it sucks and blows, but when are you ever going to use the blow function, besides observing vortices that keep a ball afloat?

The darn Kirby representatives are always breathing down people's necks to quick buy their overpriced vacuums. Don't fall for it.

Mopeds are fine for a lot of things (motor + pedal = moped, so you can get some exercise along the way), but I find 150cc plus scooters awesome because you can do highway speed, and fuel economy is still awesome (mine gets 70mpg at 70mph). Unfortunately, you'll need a motorcycle license and insurance (which is cheaper than a car) to operate the suicide machine.

Picture of what I own, not the right color though.

Now hold on a minute. We may have awesome battleships, swift tanks, and lots of patriotic men, but you do realize that if YouTube ever mobilized its defenses, our ships would be blown to smithereens by their ships that are like 10X as big as ours, our tanks would be crushed by their hulking Goliath tanks, and our patriotic men would be swamped in uncountable masses of drafted kids.

Yes, physics plays a huge role in lots of things, I'm not THAT ignorant. It's just that I assume physics would predominately revolve around REAL numbers. Give me an example of how imaginary numbers are used, then we'll call it good.

Topic: Wireless Internet Ownership Problem

Posted: 12/02/09 05:36 PM

Forum: General

My family owns two houses, and I live in the house that doesn't have the wireless router, so I bought myself a wireless adapter and another wireless router so I can get the signal over to the house I live in (I could have just bought a repeater, but I needed both a wireless signal and Ethernet ports).

The thing is, my Dad does not want me on my computer past 8:00 pm. I have been abiding by his rules, then one day I found the router's power cord missing. I thought it was my Dad because he's always taking stuff and hiding it somewhere if someone doesn't follow his rules. So, being the sneaky little crap that I am, I took a look in his room, and lo and behold, there it is, in a big pile with other cords.

Right now, I have the adapter connected to my laptop that I enabled connection sharing on, and it's darn slow for the desktop that I'm using right now.

So my question is, who has ownership of what? And what can I do to solve this problem, since I KNOW NG CAN SOLVE EVERY PROBLEM...

I'm moving out of the house in about a month to start college, so don't bring that up.

TLDR: I bought hardware to get a wireless signal, my dad takes a cord, what do I do.
