Once, when I was 9, I did the same thing by accident. My dad was mowing the lawn. He went inside, it was HOT outside, and I toyed with the lawnmower. In a futile effort, I tried pushing it.

Then, I started poking around to view the various parts of the lawnmower.

Unbeknown to me, there was the nuclear-hot exhaust pipe, or someother thing, (I had no idea when it happened). Regardless, I slapped my hand down on it.

You can imagine the rest.
I still have a burn mark, it's very light now.

And yes, I was an idiot in my youth.
