it doesnt even show a message its like someone just pulls the cord and it dies and when i cut it back on i get a black screen with all the options of like safe mode and start windows normally, it hasnt done it yet this morning so hopefully i havent just jinks myself

Just open (or close and restart) up whichever browser you're using right now, and approve it as your default browser when the prompt comes up. You could also try what Fragment suggested if this doesn't work, although I'm not sure where to find such an option since it's not available in my version of WMP.

well the thing is the prompt doesnt even come up for my IE or Opera and somehow the aol explorer has been set as my default browser, is there any way to go into my control pannel and change it?
