Oh well, I think I'll try asking him anyways. Maybe someone else might be interested in doing the lineart.
Update on level 53.
And I think I already have five pictures anyways. Don't I?

any (N/A) information will be filled in by me if you fail to do so when it comes to me entering it into the flash
thank you all who have taken part so far!... couldnt do it without you lot... also keep in mind that there is now a 5 picture limit so there is a wide range of artists :3... if you know of any other artists who may be intrested... just give them a link to this page and hopefully get some fresh user styles into the collab :3...
will be posting WIP of the main flash when i tidy it up a bit more :3
Well, I do know of someone who has some pretty awesome stuff. The only problem is that the only obvious way I can make him interested enough to do this is to do some lineart of another level, and then have him color it--he likes doing that a lot. So then it would end up being a collab within a collab, which I'm not sure if that's alright. He can draw if he wants to, he just tends not to do it all the time.
http://dasaod.deviantart.com/art/Goetter daemmerung-145074217 <-- that's some of his stuff.
Perhaps I can try convincing someone else to do the lineart...
I colored some more of it. It's still not done yet.
Post!
So now it's a golden axe instead of a tomahawk. And the background is gray just for now so that I can see the lighter colors more easily. It will still be white/transparent at the end.
And ja, I'll clean up the axe too.
Oh, okay. Then I suppose I could change the weapon to 38 or 53. But I thought someone wanted to do 53?
Yes, but Sabtastic is doing 36 anyways, so I just considered changing mine to 38. Then both of our work can be featured (and we'll be one step closer to finishing the collab).
You know, I think I'll just change the weapon on my level 36 to the level 38 weapon, and resolve the conflict that way. Besides, you'll have another level done.

That actually looks like level 37?
Well, I'm doing 36 anyways, because I wasn't aware that someone was doing it.

But you prolly shouldn't say that, cuz it's really discouraging to other artists.
And it's not really true. lol. Angelus Mortis has some extremely impressive pieces.
Thanks. Your sketches are good too.
Forgot name and aura.

I've been contemplating how to do level 12 for awhile. Thankfully, I managed something.

Where's the rest of his body? I think you should at least be able to see the neck. I personally prefer orange lighting from the cigarette instead of red, but if you like it that way, then I guess that's fine.

His right. It doesn't exactly match the grin on the other side of the face.

This is beginning to sound a lot like Parodius Nonsense Fantasy...
Anyways, I'd be interested in doing non-mecha art, if there is any. Because I don't have much experience with it.

Can you tell us the setting you use and/or the steps you take to get that effect? Might help some people! Thanks :D
I used Photoshop with the Hard Round Airbrush (for this collab, it probably wasn't the best choice for brushes), but I narrowed it to three colors in the end by using Photoshop's Save for Web and Design... feature. You can index the colors of exported .gifs. I just reduced it to three and tweaked some of the colors.

Not traced. But not unreferenced either.
Well, if it's not obvious enough, I can make the second picture strictly three colors. I guess I just probably should have used a different brush, because I did really only use three colors in the palette.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried to fix that, but I don't know about the flame bit because of the "cloak" (sorry it kind of wasn't obvious earlier).
Larger resolution for those who want it.
