Not sure exactly what the hell you are trying to say here. It appears to be self-contradictory.
It is the people who have chosen to interpret the bible and see every other idea to oppose their own. There is no coexisting because mankind is prone to compete, to dominate.
Regardless of whatever view you have of yourself, it isn't the overall attitude of the entire world. If people were as you say then nobody would murder regardless of their differences. And yet everyday people are murdered for no reason at all.

Religion might have been important for forming a moral basis in the distant past, but it now is unnecessary. I still have yet to find a single atheist who intends to do whatever the fuck he wants for the lulz just because God doesn't exist.
