Hey guys, just thought I'd stop in to make sure you guys know I'm alive and still moderately well. I see EagleRock is back, which is a great relief. I just read the "Barracks Under Fire" story/book and it makes me quite happy to see that he indeed walks among the living. I must say, that was one hell of a storyline; I almost cried.

Hehe, will do. I'm sorry to say that I've been slacking in my duties lately, however. I'll try to redeem myself whenever I get the chance. For now, I'm busy. It's back to the old grind again.

I can understand it if proxies were simply useless, but some people rely on them to come to NG at work or at school. Personally, I don't think they are for me, because open proxies don't seem to work well here (won't load certain cookies or javascript) whenever I attempt to use them at school. That's probably because my school bans almost every proxy known to man. Literally.

Anyway, Wade and his mod buddies have been doing a good job of deleting most of the spam entries submitted by Beer and others, so I think there really isn't that much need to ban proxies.

Positive impacts Newgrounds has had on my life? Well, for starters, it's like a giant entertainment system just waiting to be played, complete with all the hentai and games one could ever want . . . and I express my opinions nearly anonymously here, eliminating most of my anger problems. I did learn to type on these forums made a few friends. That's positive, right?

Anyways, I started writing stories and learning to make flashes and audio as a member here, so it boosted my creativity, I guess. So, you could say that NG has improved my life in ways that other sites wouldn't. No doubt, my life would be slightly less full and vibrant without it, and I probably would have ended up being an unintelligent jock if not for NG. It's good for my summer vacation, when I have insomnia attacks, I can tell you that.

Technically, it's not really yuri, just suggested yuri. I do like to read the fanfics and see flashes with pairings from the series. It was a bit of a let down to find out that there were no girly kisses in the entire series, or anything other than mere suggestions of pairings. I found the pairing of Minami and Tsukasa to be quite humorous, though. It's a good anime, but I wish it had more substance to it, and more yuri. The art style is what first got me hooked on the series, so yeh, I like little chibi people

Ah, yes, Cooking Sama. Great movie, on my favorites list. You know, after Shinukoto, someone told me that he thought Dei-Sama had become an hero on the basis of a conversation over MSN. I liked her on the BBS, so I was glad when it was proved otherwise (though she hasn't graced the BBS with her presence since 12-31-09). Now I'm even gladder, and I know that NG would be a much poorer place without her.

Same here. That movie was just . . lol. I favorited it mostly for the cuteness, and the KonataxKagami scene. Seems that every flash I see them in flips a switch in my brain and tells me "YOU MUST FAVORITE OR DIE!!!1!1!11!" I'm happy to know that Shinukoto is an artist here. Her work is much needed in this desolate place.

Yeah, Clock Day turns the Portal into spam central. It's maddening to see that good flashes get ignored, and bad ones rained down upon with praise they don't deserve, and as a bonus, those unworthy pieces of shit manage to get awards and whatnot. Don't get me wrong, I love the Clock Day celebration, and I appreciate that they are a part of the history of Newgrounds, but I am disappointed about all the shit that goes on.

You guys don't think that would take up 50 GB or more? Bandwith costs money, and the more you need the higher the costs will rise. If you thought I was talking that a couple of people spam and costs go up, you're wrong.

Of course it would take up more than 50 gigabytes, just look at all the submissions on Newgrounds. There's enough that even if each one was only one KB, they would probably equal hundreds of GB, and that's not counting all the users, blogs, forums, threads, and other features NG offers.

I had to say probably because I haven't actually seen the ID of the last submission, but I know that's a hella big number.

Believe it or not, but even with all the ads that NG spews all over the site, including some really big ones, NG is anything but a rich site. The amount of money it spends on upkeep and staffing is not much less than ad revenue.

Yeah, NG may look pretty rich, but they don't make all that much profit, even with all the donations, ads, and purchases that occur.

On another, more personal note . . . Well, I just woke up. I've been watching Lucky Star on You Tube all day and night for two days straight. Seems that a recent flash, Cooking Sama, has stirred up my love of Konata and Kanami enough to get me all addicted to it again. It's to the point where I'm now drawing fan art, like I used to. I would post a pic, but that would be unrelated to the topic and useless, and I don't have a scanner, so there you go.
