Compare your sprite to "real" sprites. Any differences?

Yeah, some big ones. You need to have some sort of outline, and an angle you are viewing him at. It looks like an egyptian wall painting in his current pose. Also the shading isn't up to par at all, it's completely inconsistent and haphazard.

Maybe instead of making new sprites you could try just ANIMATING your flash movies?

I would definitely work a lot harder on the animation aspect, if I were doing it again. I imagine if I had spent a lot more time on the graphics, and made it have exceptional animation it wouldn't piss people off as much it was so popular and I might actually be proud I made it.

Positive: I made some money off of it which was nice to have. Also, several times since it has come out I have heard people singing it in public which is really surreal and cool.

Negative: A lot of people hate me because I "ruined" the song or just that they didn't really like the flash so they must dedicate time to hating it. I'm not offended by it, I'm more annoyed that this is going to affect the reception of any flashes I make in the future, regardless of their quality.

I've had my AIM privacy on for a few months and I certainly do not regret it. My "fan mail" e-mail is still absolutely bombarded with retarded questions and stuff, and I haven't responded to an e-mail there in about 6 months. I've recieved about 1,400 fan e-mails total in regards to ultimate showdown. at least 1000 of them are completely incomprehensible/insane/stupid/etc.

The movie's imdb had been around for a least a month when I was animating the video. It hadn't really hit mainstream internet culture but certain message boards were already using it as a punchline long before it was widely known about.

When you made it did you break down the timing of the song then animated acordingly, or did you just animate it and then adjusted it to the music?

I put the music into a layer and animated along to it. It was pretyt simple, no breaking down of anything.

Because I am a lazy motherfucker and some parts I was putting in 0 effort and other parts I was putting in effort. About a month between me and Neil, and it sort of spurred from a "what would be a good flash to make" conversation. It was planned to be a flash that the newgrounds audience would like, but they took to it a lot more than I expected.

For a second I thought this might be a pretty funny parody post, and if it is I salute you. It does fit my guidelines so I would choose Magicarp. First off- I want to say that I am as tired of ultimate showdown as you guys are. I am making this thread because I have been debating whether or not to since it first came out. Now that I can safely say that Ultimate Showdown has completely peaked and will never rise again, I think I can answer any questions knowing that I'm not changing my mind any time soon.

I want to get everything about ultimate showdown out in the open, and some of you people might think I'm just trying to get one last starved bit of attention out of the whole thing, but I just want to be able to directly respond to criticisms and complaints and whatnot. Hello newgrounds!

I've been working for quite some time on a rather large project which has turned out to be around 11 and a half minutes long. I use 10 scenes total and the frame rate is 24fps. Total amount of frames is roughly 16,500. I think this information might be able to help you help me with my problem.

When my flash movie is exported, the audio become terribly unsynced over time, and at the end is off by around half a second. The audio moves slower than the animation itself. I don't want to release my project in this state because it greatly decreases any comic value it might have had because the visuals and audio do not match up- and the hours I have put into lip sync are worthless when it doesn't fit with the audio.

I've tried the start stop code solution, and it didn't work although it did make it better. Does anyone know of any alternative solutions for this problem?
