Well, Actually God does not wants us to gain knowledge and experience because then we might rebel. The devil got K and E and he rebelled. not to get off topic but he also promised to bring equality to the angels instead of god. So, the difference between god and the devil is that the devil is a democracy and god is a dictatorship.

No, When Adam and Eve ate the apple it was, "The temptation of the Devil." But it brings up the topic, "Does believing in Sin (Hence religion) a sign of stupidity?"
