Well I pretty much already knew that they were based of vikings and I knew most of the names were based on norse mythology, I just kinda wanted to know which ones (Like who was the first guy I posted based off of and stuff like that)

Well the game did come out in 2004, My guess is that they keep the graphics at a lower point so people with worse computers can still play the game, which of course means more can play and more can pay.

So anyway here is another pic (I'm going to keep posting these Vrykul related pics since its been keeping me active.) This is a Sea Vrykul (I call em that) This group is called the Kvaldir, they are raiders and they live at sea, whenever they come to attack they use their magic to create mist everywhere to both blind the enemy and keep themselves alive. Also when they die they evaporate and all thats left is the seaweed, barnacles and weapon.

Ymir was the name of the very first giant in Norse Mythology, but I believe that Ymiron is just a made up name, perhaps based on Ymir.

I did a search on Ymiron on the net and found out that quite a lot of names associated with the vrykul in WoW are taken from or based on names from Norse Myths.

Yeah I play the game and though it would be cool to show off the Vrykul since they are based alot off vikings and there are a few other characters also referencing mythology. I just didn't show the info earlier since I wasn't sure if any of you would hate the game or not (I used to know alot of people who hated that game)

But yeah there alot of norse mythology in the Vrykul areas of the game.
