Why do people even bother with this phrase? I've seen too many posts with people who love to shut down new ideas by saying it has no point.

So what do you mean by 'no point'? As if everything else on this site plays an important role in the survival and maintainance of human life?

If you look at it, almost nothing has a point. It's pretty redundant to say that on something so incredibly trivial as Newgrounds(compared to the big scheme of things). Newgrounds is just for fun.
