Neither for you, cool dude.
I'm not expecting them to. I'm not the one complaining about everyone else.
Keep flaunting your indie cred man, it keeps the world going round. And you have bad sarcasm detection btw.
Are you trying to say that everything you say in this thread is sarcastic, and you actually don't care if people talk about things you don't want to talk about? If that's true then, man, you can really stick with a joke.
I do like that you're telling me to keep flaunting my 'indie cred' (whatever that means), while you complain about everything that's popular.
Are you sure you didn't mean to type that into Google?
At 2/25/11 01:02 AM, KermitTheMuppet wrote: I promise that from now on, we will only discuss the favorites and nothing else. Hellsing, Deathnote and even Cowboy Bebop. Why should I have ever doubted your wonderful opinions about anime. After all, truly the only most recognizable series are the ones that deserve respect.
Remember that you started shouting all this nonsense after people simply put a few popular shows in a mosaic of their favourite shows they've watched. It wasn't this big "hey, let's discuss all these shows right now and no others" announcement from all those users. Just "here I am showing a mosaic of my favourite shows I've watched, by the way a few of them are really popular". And those you mentioned are some of the most well-liked shows among Westerners that watch anime, so you shouldn't be surprised when people count them among their favourites.
You can whine and whine about people not discussing things that you want to discuss (though I'd prefer you wouldn't, since it's ruining the thread a bit), but you're not going to be able to convince people to exclude shows from their favourites just because they're popular.
Try to remember one thing, if nothing else from this post: Not everyone is here to entertain you.

I I just checked out the first episode of Planetes. Oh Planetes, where have you been all my life?

Not necessarily. When I was a kid my favourite games were in the Final Fantasy series.

At least the judges didn't give them the shaft.
Hey, cool. Fourth place again. Only this time I win something for it. Thanks.
I just started watching Kure-nai again. I stopped watching it about halfway through last time because the episode I was up to gave me a corrupted file when I downloaded it, and I never got around to downloading it again.
It's good, but the dialogue written for Murasaki (in the first episode at least) is a little unnatural. And by that I mean a lot. Which is weird because all the other dialogue is done quite well.
I like the character designs and the animation as well, so I'll probably get through it this time.

Uh huh. I saw it at an anime film festival about six months ago (along with some dumb film called King of Thorn).
Redline is probably some of the most fun I've ever had watching a film. It's amazing.

Luckily that guy lived long enough ago that every living person today is a descendant of his. As such we're all the recipients of the money given to his estate.
Problem solves itself.
People were making these so I thought I'd make one.
I may have put too many down.

Oh, you're right, I apologise. This is the anime club.

I hate to whore another flash but-
Wait, no I don't.
I just finished a flash I've been making on and off for a little over a month, entitled "Gurl Gamers". It's about girls that play games and expect people to care.

Welcome to the third anagram weekly!
The Idea of the anagram weekly is to draw an anagram of that weeks theme-word(s)
Example: If the word was 'television', you could choose the anagram "novelise it", and draw a dude writing a book. You could also choose 'i stone evil', and draw a picture of someone throwing stones at the devil. Or even "It's even oil!", and draw someone being amazed at some oil. Be creative with the punctuation!
This weeks theme-word is: "Intransigence"!
You can find anagrams here.
To start it off I give you that thing that maybe sometimes haunts our nightmares:

Yes.

Also, Ghibli studios releases. Real original choices.
Sometimes, Kermit.
Sometimes you're allowed to like the things that everyone else likes.
Well Amanda's head is way bigger than Kyle's, so you might want to change that on either of them if you were really trying to keep it consistent.
On the art front I would really suggest you change the shape of Amanda's ridiculous looking torso.
People don't seem to like Team Dildo's game Demon Runner as much as I'd hoped but that's okay. We did kinda cop out with the theme. Extremely so.
I had fun making it, and I'm proud of the parts that I did, so all in all it was a success. For me, anyway.
Here's what you should do.
Go to the gym. Get buff.
Fight crime.

One should not be proud of being a 'hater'.
Not to condemn those proud of being 'hatters'. It is a respectable occupation.
Check out the game JoSilver, Fungasm and I made for the Game Jam in under 72 hours. I did the intro animation, the outro animation, and the background art. Fungasm did the animation for the main character and the demon in the game proper, plus the menu screen.

I definitely wasn't born with the ability to draw.
I was a baby. I couldn't even hold a pencil properly.
