4.09 / 5.00 15,161 ViewsI decided that, for practice, I am going to write and make a short storied comic of The Amazing and Remarkably True Adventures of Kim and Amy. For these purposes I decided to redesign the two characters.
I'd appreciate any comments on the designs.
Notebookreview says that it's a good laptop, but when it's that heavy, with that little battery life, I start to wonder what the point of owning such a laptop is.
Something I am curious about:
When the head of my dong (let's call him 'Charlie'), manages to wiggle his way out of his fleshy facemask and brush up against the walls of his cotton, or if I'm unlucky and my fly is open, denim house, this is quite uncomfortable to me.
I have to imagine that his is what circumsized men feel all the time, without their protective skin turtleneck.

I thought the very point of increasing data capacity of games was to build LONGER games...
Personally I think that all games should be like films that we pay $60 for.
Well in high school I was forced to go on ridiculous tramping trips (bushwalking plus camping) in the "natural wonder" that is New Zealand.
So I guess ~35km (~22 miles).
I actually have the opposite problem.
I can't take a piss unless I have at least three people looking at my penis.
They all look the same when they're erect.
And that's when it counts.
Your wing-tip shoes gleaming softly in the glow of the moon. You are alone, save for the bitter hum of the insect nightlife, and a red blur in the distance.
You focus, and you can make out the shape of a woman in red. You strain your eyes for details, but there is something almost mournful about her pose. You stand and wonder about her story, before looking up at the crescent moon. The sky is beautiful, frozen. The stars watch silently as you reach into your pocket and pull out a silver case, the size of a playing card.
You open it and pull out a cigarette. Searching for your lighter, you notice a line of black running up the side of your cigarette. Looking closer you realise that the black is a collection of tiny words. Someone has left you a message.
What does it say?

This is the double digits, man. You're stuck back in the 90s.

Well, I guess that's it.
No one can outnerd this nerd.
Considering in the two collaboration threads you've posted, your game idea amounts to:
"I want you to make this Penguin Tower Defense game, while I sit back and do nothing"
There's really nothing to stop an artist and a programmer teaming up and making this game, while metaphorically throwing you off their figurative ship, and taking all the booty (flash game profits) for themselves.

Though I think I'm just going to go through with it anyways, the theme is recognisable enough methinks. I could pm a judge with the details though, if it seems necessary.
An amateur art competition that disqualifies a submission because it depicts elements of the Renaissance rather than Medieval times wouldn't be an art competition worth competing in. It's not a history test, after all.

.. Crap.
I don't want to give away what my central theme is, but just to ask: Is it okay to use a theme that's technically not in mediaval times anymore, but still percieved as such by (I think) a lot of people?
Given the general lack of knowledge about the finer points of the chronology of the last thousand years held by most people, I imagine you could have just done your idea and not told anyone.

Otherwise she might get hurt.

You should indeed only invest time and effort in this, that remark was just to state that photographs have a really small chance of getting accepted.
To avoid this confusion that you're causing by enforcing this mythical photography standard that you're not giving any details about, J-qb, it might be a good idea to simply state that photos are not allowed.

While there is some interesting stuff in that, I can't really say it's all you'll ever need to know about character creation.
It doesn't really seem to give any tips on how to create a character for a specific story that you want to write. Instead it seems to be centred around creating a character, and having the story spring from that character, rather than that character fitting into your story. I.e. writing a character in a vacuum, and then setting them loose in the world.
Which is perfectly valid for a lot of genres of fiction (particularly fiction that focuses on characters, rather than the overall plot), but it's not the only way to write a character.
If, for example, I wanted to write a story about the political machinations of a dystopian state, and I needed a character that would represent the dangers of excess, this guide would not tell me all I needed to know to write that character.
Do we have to take the theme literally, or can we use it as a springboard rather than a rigid guideline?

To me that sounds like a terrible idea.
Unless you're fine with your characters being boring and one-dimensional you'll probably want to give them some sort of emotional range.
Somebody else can have The Empress.
