Wah wah wah people are treating me differently because of the colour of my skin, rather than the content of my character wah wah wah I am a victim of negative stereotyping wah wah wah this thread is actually about modern perceptions rather than historical injustices wah wah wah.
Keep complaining, folks who haven't even mentioned a thing in this thread about what StCyril is talking about!
ALRIGHT. I will allow you to use this picture.

Speak for yourself. Maybe some people do want to know how to do that. Lots of people have photorealistic aspirations.
Though for myself: When you're finding a photo on the internet, and copying it digitally so well that it almost looks indistinguishable from the original photo (and people think your art is a photo that you have stolen), I have to wonder what the point of doing that is. The photo already exists after all.
I would probably leave her, and then regret it for the rest of my life.
Hiya, dudes.
I was wondering if you guys would please be able to review this piece of art I submitted. Preferably commenting on the strength of the character design.

The amount that it brings in doesn't change the percentage of the profits.

People are accusing you of either using photomanipulation, or simply tracing photos to make your art, because of the fact that they are nearly identical to photos found on the internet, beyond what one would usually attribute to simple referencing.

I think you are perhaps misinformed.
The reason people would laugh at that is because male genitals are inherently hilarious.
Just look at them.
Easiest way to learn:
Look at some curtains;
Draw what you see.
I call it 'Portrait of the Artist on a Dragon'.
This is for RicePirate's Creaturing Collab wherein you take a child's drawing and reimagine it.
I chose Ellis (grade 2)'s kickin' Batbird.
Might as well post the final designs in here.

No true Scotsman would do such a thing.

Photoshop is the best program for anything. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
No one.
Not anyone.
Not a soul.

I do not understand how this is frowned upon if it has taken me a good amount of time to complete, and assemble though my own insight. This is art, and should be considered as such.
And no matter how much you protest that you're amazing, you really aren't. If you're saying that you're good for a person that doesn't watch tutorials (you're not), why not watch some tutorials? Don't aim your sights low, that's not what art is about. And if you do shoot for the bottom of the barrel don't expect other people to praise you for anything you do.
Something I don't think you understand about what you're doing here.
You're trying to attract artists to the idea of making a comic with you. But you're not giving them any reason why they should want to work with you. Why would I even take the first step of emailing you if I didn't have any idea of your abilities? For all I know your writing abilities could be on the standard of fortune cookies, so why would I think "yes, this is a person I want to work with"?
You seem to be acting as if you're the one with the cards; as if you're the one that people should want to work with and that you should be the one to be able to pick and choose. But there are so many writers out there looking for artists. People like you are not in short supply. I could take one step in any direction and find a dude or dudette that IS willing to show off what he or she is capable of right off the bat.
All I know about you from your little advertisement is that you're a needlessly evasive person.
You don't need to tell everyone the details of your comic, or give away your ideas. But what you should at least do is show off maybe a short story you wrote to give potential applicants an idea of how good you are with a typewriter.
And don't make people look for it.

Not really, no. Considering, I assume, 'Wes' isn't the plural of the word 'We', it is correct to have the extra 's' after the apostrophe.
Some people like to take away the extra 's' when the possessive form doesn't have the extra 's' sound (e.g. "Socrates' whatever" or "for goodness' sake"), but considering "Wes's" is pronounced "Wes-es", the extra 's' is correct.
One thing you might want to do is to make sure that people will be able to tell your characters apart by silhouette alone, and also possibly when they are naked and without hair.
Just make sure the distinguishing features go beyond the clothes and hair.
I'm not certain, but this may be the ugliest thing I have ever seen.
Well the main problem with that picture is that there's no contrast. I can barely see it.
You need to use some darker colours alongside the light ones.

I'd appreciate any comments on the designs.
There were some minor things that were really bugging me about these designs, so I just had to fix them and later (now) post them.
