"Yes, I pay every single year for the privilege to enjoy the multiplayer components of my games."
I couldn't help but think:
If he had some friends, he wouldn't need to pay to enjoy the multiplayer components of his games.

I played it on PSP, and felt that the story got far too convoluted.
It was all about this hardcore political intrigue and they tried to mix it up by throwing in an ancient evil, and it didn't really work well.
The game was good, though.
It got a bit easy about halfway through, and by the end I was just zooming through battles.

I'm trying to stay away from any news of the game before I play it.
I mean, I'm already going to buy it. I don't need it advertised to me.
This way, when I play it it can come as more of a surprise.

There's nothing wrong with that idea.
Dexter pulled that off very well.

He is saying that the newest Wii update allows the Wii to check if the Homebrew Channel is installed, and delete it.
The Homebrew Channel is a channel that is installed through hacking the Wii system and allows you to easily run homebrew and emulators on your Wii.

I imagine Nintendo check forums all the time.
They'd have to be stupid not to.
Easy consumer feedback, forums are.

I wonder if you know that Japan developed that way partially because they lost the war.
They were very traditionalist in all facets beforehand.

Despite the fact that it is the draw of blu-ray in the first place.
Somehow I don't think Nintendo will make the next Zelda game 'harder'.
Nintendo would have a hard time capturing new audiences with a game that people will struggle to complete. My parents are having a hard enough time with Twilight Princess.
My general ideas for the next Zelda game are not particularly optimistic, considering Nintendo's complete lack of innovation in their series games. These are assuming that we are talking about a home console Zelda.
1. Voice actors. We're in the modern age of video games, and DVDs can fit voice tracks. Characters speaking with nonsense sounds and text is no longer needed in video games, and Nintendo need to acknowledge that.
2. This is undoubtedly a controversial statement, but I believe that Link should speak in the game. I can't get attached to a character just by virtue of playing him. I don't consider the character an avatar of me as a gamer. There is no way to understand Link beyond the typical "oh look, this guy's a hero so he has to save the world." It's not even that he's a mute, it's just that we can't hear what he's saying, and that annoys me. Traditionalists will say that Link not speaking is integral to the game, but I think that that's stupid. An unidentifiable character is just a hindrance to storytelling (just look at Dragon Quest VIII which attempted sympathetic party members, but neglected its main character). If Link spoke then Nintendo might actually be able to craft a good story to go with its dungeon-boss fight-dungeon routine.
3. An interesting update to the setting of Hyrule. They did this in Wind Waker, when they flooded the world, but then they went backwards with Twilight Princess. They need to make some interesting updates to keep the world fresh. The optimist in me would like a more Victorian Hyrule filled with classic Steampunk imagery, but I know that's not going to happen.
I'm almost certain that none of this is going to happen.
Because the people that like them find them to be enjoyable games.
They enjoy the game mechanics that the games bring, and enjoy seeing the stories play out. There's no crazy reasons as to why the games are popular. People just like playing them.
You might not, because you have different tastes. Don't try to think that everything is objective.
I like Final Fantasy games because I like turn based roleplaying games, and I like the convoluted stories that have been present in all Final Fantasies starting in the Playstation era. Obviously a lot of people agree with this opinion because the games are really popular, and contrary to popular belief the general public does not buy things that they don't enjoy just because of the brand name.
I can understand why people might not like the Final Fantasy games. Be it their lack of action, their stories being too convoluted, the person's general hatred of anything Japanese, I don't know.
But I like them.

It doesn't work like that.
If you had to settle for hentai instead of real people and real porn, would you feel contented?
Now that every game is filled to the brim with ridiculous violence, Mortal Kombat can no longer compete.
Mortal Kombat got by because people thought it was cool to have such a violent game when video games were still largely children's toys.
Now it's not unique. It's just like every other game out there.

I'm not saying that Japanese music is the same as rap. I'm saying it's ridiculous that you believe you like every genre that isn't rap. My example of a genre that you probably don't like is Japanese noise.

Really.
You like Japanese noise, but you don't like rap.
I don't tend to discuss my religious affiliations with the general public.
That would be boring.
Man, do you not?
That would suck so much, being a paedophile. These are people who can only satisfy their desires by breaking the law and psychologically scarring another individual. They didn't choose to have a ridiculous sexuality, and now they are suffering for it. They either have to suffer in silence, their desires gone unfulfilled throughout their life while they settle for nothing, or commit a heinous, unforgivable act.
Now I'm not condoning child molestation. Child molestors should be arrested and should do their time, like everyone else who commits a crime. Paedophiles SHOULD suffer in silence, they have a responsibility to.
I just feel sorry for them because they have to.
This is a thread that, if you don't know exactly what wavelength the OP is on, is completely incomprehensible.

Poorly told I can understand.
However, I haven't really seen any story quite like Final Fantasy VII's in video games before or since.
It centres around a bunch of terrorists, for one.
